Welcome Thetford Golf Club has gained a reputation as one of the finest courses in East Anglia thanks mainly to its situation in the midst of the Brecks. Unusually the heathland aspects of heather, gorse and free-draining sandy soils is enhanced by the presence of the towering firs of the Thetford Chase, the largest man-made forest in Europe. Golf has been played here for more than 100 years and we are proud of our reputation as a friendly and welcoming club and visiting golfers can expect a warm welcome in our comfortable clubhouse. A well-stocked bar and first-class home-cooked food provide the perfect accompaniment to your round of golf. We are always delighted to host National and County events, as well as our own Open competitions. In 2016 we have a number of notable events on our fixture card including
the area final of the Lombard Trophy in April and the England Golf Ladies’ Medal final in May. We are also hosting the Norfolk County Ladies Championship in May as well as Norfolk Seniors in March. Our Winter Pro-Ams have proved to be extremely popular with professionals from across the region relishing the chance to play on a comparatively dry course over the wettest periods of the year. We believe that Thetford Golf Club offers one of the most enjoyable golfing experiences in Norfolk and we are proud of that and invite you to come along and see if you agree.
