Hello Everyone, March is here; the Home and Sport Show is approaching quickly, and before we know it, things will thaw and our awesome springtime will begin. The February meeting was a good time, with Kevin Mann as a great host with outstanding financial information! We need to increase our attendance to the meetings, although, I know there was a lot of people out of town. The show is shaping up to be a good one. Let’s get the word out, to everyone we know, so the amount of visitors is up. That makes working on the weekend not so bad. Please contact Brenda or Sharon if you are free to help with set up and tear down of the show. Brenda and Sharon do a great job and it makes it easier on us all if we have “All hands on deck.” I look forward to seeing everyone at the Show. Please call in to get on the list of helpers. Oh Yeah, Big CONGRATULATIONS to both Ben and Troy on the new babies, their wives should probably get a small amount of credit and congrats as well. Take Care.

V iew MY Brenda Eidenschink Hello members, It’s hard to believe that the Home & Sport Show is just around the corner! We are almost booked on the booths with currently just a couple left open. To put on this show, each year, we need many volunteers to make it run smoothly. I am asking you to please volunteer for a shift for some area of the show. We seem to have the same volunteers every year that help out… If you have never volunteered before, this is the year to start. It’s fun putting it all together to make it look so nice. If you can’t come for the whole day, a few hours greatly helps. There are a number of areas where we need help, so please call us at the office… or we just might be calling you! We have sent out an email about the Silent Auction as we are looking for your donations. Remember that the proceeds go for scholarships. Scholarships are given out each year, to high school seniors going to further their education in the building trades which includes electrical, plumbing, heating, architecture, interior design, mechanical engineering etc. Upcoming events will be the Plumbing Expo on April 17th and the trap shoot in May. If you are interested in having a trap shoot team or would like to sponsor a station, please let us know. Finally, please come to the Home & Sport Show and check it out. We are hosting Matt Fox, with DIY Network and PBS. He will be conducting several seminars. Come and check out all of the booths and maybe enjoy the wine tasting sponsored by Seven Sisters and the beer tasting hosted by Fargo Brewing. It makes a fun day during this cold winter. Letter from the editor Another month closer to spring – I hope. It is a busy place around here. Soon the Show will be over and then onto the Plumbing EXPO in April. After April it is just fun stuff like the Trap Shoot and a picnic. Hopefully we can get Dunton Locks for the picnic. It’s a great place for a picnic! The Home and Sport Show requires many folks to volunteer. We are really in need of people to help set up, work the front desk, tear down, and work the Silent SHARON WESTERHOLM Auction. Please call and let us know if you can help. We decided to send a newsletter out to everyone this month, just to see if you all read it. We encourage you to advertise in the newsletter. Your advertisement not only reaches all of our members, but it helps to cover our costs of mailing to everyone each month. At this time, there are 8 open ads. This is an inexpensive advertising opportunity for you and would help support this Association. A single ad for a member is $160.00 per year. Non-member rate is $199.00 and a double is $300.00 a year, with a nonmember rate of $375.00. These ads are also on our website in separate spots which continually rotate. BatC tried getting an injunction to have it held up for further discussion, but was unable to do so.

silent AuCtion everyone knows the home show is only a few months away, so i am hoping everyone remembers the silent AuCtion!!!!!! if you know what you would like to donate, let us know, or bring it to the office. it will save extra phone calls. we have been making around $8000.00 and are able to give out scholarships which run from $1000.00 to $1500.00, depending on the number of applicants. we appreciate everyone’s donations to this very important cause.
