Man to Man

What could possibly be more frustrating, and definitely not to mention completely embarrassing than having the same shot blocked three times? Not a whole lot according to freshman basketball player Clifford Brye
With their record being 10-0 halfway through the season, it is probably a pretty safe assumption that these boys knew what they were doing.
"We had to go out there and do the best we could and try to play together, " said Brye Aren Papke agreed, adding; "We are never selfish. We don't get down on someone if they make a mistake. We all make mistakes." To get pumped up the guys all got together in front of the gym doors and did a little cheer.
While Papke felt as though Lincoln High was the freshman team's biggest rival because they knew many of the players on the team , Brye, on the other hand thought East was the teams biggest rival stating; " They were about the only team that had us down in the fourth quarter That was OK though , because we came back to beat them anyway "
" I like basketball. It's really a great experience playing such a competitive sport and learning how to cooperate with people in order to achieve a goal that we all have in our sights," said Papke when asked about why he chose to play basketball at Northeast. Brye answered by saying; " Basketball is a really great way for me to keep in shape for the later years in my life and still have a chance of improving my game. "Basketball is an intense game to play I love that intensity "
