This year the Northeast Concert Band was able to experience something different, but not new Nebraska Weslyan University has held a district music contest in the past and a few Northeast bands have participated including the Concert band This year Weslyan did not want to hold the contest so Northeast decided to .

The Northeast Concert band , Ninth grade band, and Orchestra competed Other schools who had bands compete were : Lincoln East, Lincoln High and Plattsmouth . The Concert band played three songs for the contest. The Northeast Invitational Band Contest was held on May 3

The Concert band is made up of mainly sophmores and practice in class second period The directors are, Mr. Jeff Klintenberg and Mr Paul Gausman

The Concert band also took a trip to World's of Fun on May 13 .
