This year there was five jazz bands at Northeast. Each one is full of very talen ted dedicated students, ranging fro m freshmen to seniors

Varsity jazz band is the only jazz band that is a seperate class. All others branch off of other band classes. Varsity is an elite group of musicians who travelled to the KU jazz festival, and other competitions They also performed at the Rock Show, and The Show The Show was a joint performance with Swing Choir.

Symphonic jazz, and Concert jazz are jazz bands branched off of the Symphonic and Concert bands. These groups perform and compete during the year.

Ninth grade jazz have two different bands to accomodate more people. They are a select group taken out of 9th grade band.
