Afusica[ a success

By Cyndi Neff

Faces itching from the layers of makeup, they faced the audience with determination and nervous confidence.

It was the night of October 29th and all members of the Concert Choir gathered in the Northeast auditorium for their last performance of the famous musical Bye Bye Birdie

It had been a long haul and many members were looking forward to making Mary Oestman, director , proud of their achievements in the past weeks

The 1994-95 musical could be said to have been more difficult than other musicals over the past years, due to Oestman's illness covering one week's time During which Bruce Chapman, dramatic director, took over preparations until Oestman 's return.

In the end everyone lived their part to the fullest , taking the audience back in time to the age of Elvis and the Ed Sullivan Show. The crowd was constantly entertained with flashy songs, humorous lines , and outrageous costumes.

The performance concluded in a show ofappreciationforOestmanandChapman's combined efforts .
