crime Of Changes

By Cyndi Neff

Screaming at the top of yo ur lungs to be heard over eight people with the same intent can be frustrating to say the least.

This is one way to describe The Northeastern at the beginning of the year.

Heidi White, editorinchiefof The Northeastern, decided it was time for a change A new flag was just one of many suggestions.

While there were debates over font, size, . and color, the staff decided that The Northeastern needed something more than a title to tie it to the school.

The main idea was to use the infamous rocket.

Some pictured it flying under the title trailed by a line of fire or smoke, others pictured it in the background making it look 3-D, and yet another pictured the Northeast symbol stamped on the side. All members agreed that the stamp would be the most professional and practical of the three, which was exactly what they wanted

The final product, with a purple title typed in Zapf Chancery, was found to be satisfying to all concerned. The staff was left with a new flag, which would last them throughout the year acting as a symbol for the new changes that would take place during the year of 1994-95 .
