By Jamie Kapke
It was the first pep rally and many students couldn't wait to see what new things would be happening this year.
When 9 selected Northeast Varsity football players came into the auditorium, they didn't know what to expect. All they knew was that they would be doing something. When the Varsity cheerleaders announced that the football players would be getting kissed blindfolded, the players were naturally wondering who they would be kissing
Most of the players were trying to figure out how to get out of doing this! B.J. Nannen just shook his head "no"!
When the Varsity cheerleaders finished covering the football players' eyes, the cheerleaders brought out the football players' mom's. The crowd went in an uproar, laughing and cheering loudly
The football players were moving around trying to figure out who was going to kiss them .
They each kissed their moms and then rated the kiss. When B.J. Nannen got a kiss, he opened his eyes immediately afterwards, finding his mom standing in front of him. He wiped his lips, and the cheerleaders asked how he rated his kiss
B.J. Nannen responded "I don't know, I don 't like kisses"
David Schwerdtfeger got a wet kiss from his mom He rated his mom a l.
The football players rated their moms a variety of different numbers on a scale of 1 to 10. Where 10 is the highest and 1 is the lowest.
The Varsity cheerleaders uncovered the'football players eyes The look on the players' faces was a mixture of surprise and embaressment.
When Scott Bautch was asked what he thought of the pep rally, he said, "It was fun, especially when I got kissed by my mommy" .
