JUDSON STEAM ACADEMY: TRANSFORMING EDUCATION & CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENT
Within the halls of Judson STEAM Academy (JSA), an interesting transformation is underway. The school has not merely adopted the Ron Clark Academy's (RCA) innovative educational approach but has woven it into the very fabric of its identity. JSA, located in Longview ISD, has embraced the Ron Clark model, shifting the focus from mere academics to nurturing the holistic development of its students. Inspired by RCA's 'house' system, where students are assigned to teams, JSA has ushered in a new era of education where achievements are celebrated, and community-building takes center stage. It started with a few teachers going to a Ron Clark workshop, and now the school is reinvigorated, reenergized, and ready to learn.

JSA mainly has adopted the ‘house system.’ This means, each student is separated into five different houses, essentially teams, where they work together to earn points, put together a community service project, and more.
