Q: How did you meet and what inspired you to start KUD Properties? Troy Kudlac: I started KUD back in 2010, at the time the real estate market was depressed, and we saw an opportunity to invest in midcentury homes. Fast forward to 2013, Ross and I met and we had a ton of things in common and became great friends. Four months later, Ross called me and mentioned the timing was right in his business to transition and he was ready to move over to KUD. Ross Stout: I had been in real estate for four years, I entered the market at the same time Troy started his residential business. The timing was perfect, there was an opening for Troy to have me, and it worked out perfect. We saw an opportunity to be able to expand our reach in the community by starting a team this year. We have brought on like-minded people who share the same values and work ethic with a goal of expanding the brokerage and the product we bring to the market. Our team has increased from Troy and myself to a team of eight agents in the last few years, and most of the team joining us in the last six months. KUD Properties Residential Brokerage looks to make a big splash in 2018! Q: Give a brief background on KUD Properties and why it’s a notable business in the desert. TK: KUD Properties as we know it today started in 2015 as we found a niche in midcentury modern homes. We set ourselves apart here in the desert by being advisors to clients and meeting their needs, not just order takers. RS: We call ourselves ‘real estate consultants;’ we have a great grip on the market. Since I grew up in the desert, I know this place very well. We don’t want to just throw somebody’s house on the market and hope it sells; we have a strategy and purpose behind it. Not all homes here in the desert are midcentury modern. Although that is our passion in our heart of hearts, our ability to sell homes reaches beyond architectural style and we can navigate a client through any
