Press Brunch in The Witte Museum

The Witte Museum is dedicated to telling the stories of Texas, from prehistory to the present. The permanent collection features historic artifacts and photographs, Texas art, textiles, dinosaur bones, cave drawings, and Texas wildlife dioramas, in addition to nationally acclaimed traveling exhibits. Artwork in the collection includes sculpture by San Antonio-born Bonnie MacLeary.

A vendégek megtekinthetik a közelmúltban felfedezett dinoszauruszok teljes méretű modelljeit, megvizsgálhatják a valódi antarktiszi kövületeket, és megtudhatják, hogyan változott a szárazföld a ma ismert sarki kontinenssé.
The Witte Museum is named after San Antonio businessman Alfred G. Witte, who bequeathed $65000 to the city for construction of a museum of art, science, and natural history to be built in memory of his parents
Most people spend 2-3 hours at the museum. Dubbed the center where nature, science, and culture meet, the Witte Museum sits at the heart of the River Walk.
The Witte used to be a wonderful museum for all ages, but the entire emphasis now is children.
The Witte Museum is hosting the Field Museum in Chicago’s ‘Antarctic Dinosaurs’ exhibit. The exhibit can be seen till September 10 in the Kathleen and Curtis Gunn Gallery at the Witte Museum. Guests can see full-scale models of recently discovered dinosaurs, examine real Antarctic fossils and learn how the land changed to become the polar continent we know today.
