We love visiting the Disneyland Resort, but for us, the fun starts before we even get into the park. Downtown Disney is going through renovations and new shop openings, and here I share my three favorite hidden gems at Downtown Disney. Best of all - no annual pass needed! TRADER SAM'S ENCHANTED TIKI BAR
Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar is located right outside Downtown Disney in the Disneyland Hotel. The Tiki Bar is inspired by the world famous jungle cruise ride in Disneyland. This romantic and adventures bar has tropical colorful cocktails and amazing Hawaii inspired appetizers, try the Hawaiian nachos they are amazing. You can also order a pineapple dole whip with rum (secret menu) just make sure to ask and they'll be glad to make it for you. Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar welcomes children until 8 pm, but is restricted to Guests 21 and over thereafter.
HEARTHSTONE LOUNGE
Hearthstone Lounge is located inside Disney Grand Californian Hotel. It's a great place to hangout with friends and enjoy some amazing cocktails. They have a Mickey Mouse Shaped Artizanal Pizza, Mickey's Baked Alaska (Chocolate Ice Cream encased with bruleed Meringue and raspberry sauce). Everything is amazing, especially their cocktails. They have the Pina CoLAVA, for those of you that were in love with the Cove Bar in California Adventure, this drink will bring back great memories! THE COFFEE HOUSE
The Coffee House is also located at the Disneyland Hotel. This little cafe is amazing. They have donuts inspired by your favorite Disney Characters: Minnie and Mickey mini cakes, and Mickey Mouse cookies. Guess what, you don't have to have to go to Disneyland to get your fix of Dole whip and Mickey waffles. The Coffee House sells them and they also sell the Dole Whip with some rum!
