Welcome to our 2025 Female Sale. Over the nine years we have hosted the sale, here at our farm, there have been changes. One big change for us this year is KSL Simmentals leaving us and striking out on their own. Oh, they will be sorely missed, but we know they will continue to have great success selling their females. We have gained a new consignor in Newton Creek Simmentals. They have brought us 3 excellent Fullblood females. Also, we must say how thankful we are to Diamond T and Swantewitt/Sage for sticking with us the whole 9 years. We would not be able to host our own female sale without them. Every year they bring top quality females to this sale. I know these females go onto work for their new owners and all for prices that are very reasonable.
It has been a trying summer for Lone Stone Farms. We have struggled to get enough rain. It’s really affected our grass and hay land. We started feeding cows on pasture in the middle of July. We got a little shot of moisture mid-August which boosted the grass for a bit, but we find ourselves starting to feed cows a month earlier than usual. We did do an early wean of the calves, which made the harvest run a lot easier. That last rain mid August is the only rain to date. Surprisingly, the yields have been good. Corn silage yields were really good, and our feed supply is in good shape for the winter and beyond.
Our family is growing and healthy. Hard to believe we will have a grandson 15 years old in a month and our littlest granddaughter will be two. Sports is what our grandchildren thrive on. Especially six of them out of our eight spend tons of time in the ice arena, the baseball diamond, and the football field.
We hope you can attend the sale in person. If not please talk to Nathan, Karen or Transcon if you have questions.
The U.S. Exchange rate will be announced at the sale.
Invoicing
Invoices will be emailed and a copy mailed.
Payment Terms
Due at time of sale. Animal will not be released until payment received in full. Accepted methods for payment are cash, cheque, e-transfer or wire.
Invitational Female Sale
Friday, November 28, 2025 - 1:00 PM At The Farm - 4 miles North and 1/2 mile West of Westlock, AB
Livestock...
With great anticipation we invite you to to join us at the 9th Annual Lone Stone Farms Invitational Female Sale! This event annually puts forward one of the strongest bred heifer offerings of the season with amazing hospitality. Please join us on the farm just a few minutes north of Westlock on Friday November 28.
Lone Stone Farms annually assemble a great cross section of Simmental and Red Angus bred heifers. The Fleckvieh heifers will be heavily influenced with polled genetics from the top of the heifer pen. Famously the Red Angus breds are powerful tanks that are always impressive and have amazing value! In my summer travels I will always run into Lone Stone females at the front end of many herds across the prairies.
Annually we get an exceptional group of bred heifers from Diamond T Simmentals, Swantewitt/Sage Simmentals with the addition this year of Newton Creek Simmentals. When I toured these heifers in the summer I’m always impressed how deep everyone digs into their heifer pens for this sale. You absolutely have the front end cattle to appraise from these programs.
The Lone Stone Farms Invitational Female sale will boast exceptional quality cattle with some of the finest hospitality of the fall! I hope to see you sale day!
If you are unable to attend in person, don’t hesitate to reach out to any of the Transcon team. We are always happy to assist producers in search of quality genetics.
See you sale day!

This big bold female is out of a Cashmere daughter. Maybe my favorite Cashmere female. There is good big size in the Cashmere line and Pilar 22M got those genetics. She has a big foot under her. We have a full sister in our herd and another half-sister born in 2025. The dam of 22M is proving to be a top-notch female in our herd.

This female has a lot of power to her. Star faced like her mother. And she has the biggest feet under her. All four are big and toes even. A half sister was sold last year to Crocus Coulee, and she has a 2025 sister as well, that just might have to stay. Each year her Dam has been bred to a different sire. It doesn’t matter; she produces top end calves.

56403 Range Road 145 Yellowhead County, AB T7E 3R4
Welcome back to the Lone Stone Invitational female sale! We are so excited and thankful to be part of this wonderful sale group and offer some of our top bred heifers. The Brown family has been such a joy to work with over the years and we are very blessed to have the opportunity to contribute to this sale.
Every year when we pick our heifers for this sale, we really focused on choosing from cow families that we love and have similar females to in our herd. This way we can hopefully predict the success of the heifers we are offering. We love sharing some of our very best ones that are a true representation of our herd. You’ll find a variety of horned and polled females in our fleckvieh offering as well as 4 purebred red and black heifers. Our herd consists of 380 registered mother cows of which there are about 50% fullblood/ fleckvieh and 50% red and blacks. We’ve kept our service sires consistent this year for predictability when it comes to calving time. Lunar is on the fullblood heifers as he proved to work quite well for us last year. We have our homozygous polled heifer bull, Tycoon, on the purebred heifers. This will be our third year calving him and he’s always been consistent for us. We have good confidence in both the service sires we have used.
All heifers are on a full vaccine and deworming program having received Express 5, Presponse HM, Covexin, and their first dose of scour guard. They have also received a pour on for lice and parasites.
Fullblood. Full Fleckvieh. Non Dilutor. Check out this gorgeous, cherry red, deep bodied heifer. I can’t say enough about her. She truly has it all. Calving ease and growth with a wonderful personality. Both Carter and Dacie can attest to how quiet this lady is in the picture and video pen. She was used as the buddy heifer whenever anyone was stressed since she was just so chill. She comes from a line of females all with similar dark red coloring and lots of depth of body.

Her first bull calf was one of our high sellers in our 2023 bull sale so Mauve is a bred heifer with a lot of potential. Polled Purebred. Non Dilutor. Malibu has a fun pedigree. We thought this sale would be the perfect place for her. Yes, she is a purebred as her dam is one of our top Amber Jack daughters. Gin 31G is a solid red, deep, thick female that we crossed to our full fleckvieh Director’s Cut bull who has had many daughters come through this sale. Malibu may be purebred but she pulls hard from her half fleck pedigree. She has the thickness but style and feminity. She’s a heifer that won’t give up any growth. Our Director’c Cut daughters are some of our best females in our herd and the Amber Jack cows all produce like it’s their job! Malibu is truly the best of both worlds.
Exposed to Swantewitt Tycoon 34K from March 25 - May 5. Preg checked safe to mid to late January calving.
Homozygous Polled Purebred. Non Dilutor.
If you’re in the market for a heifer to add to your herd that will put pounds on calves then Margie is your lady. She’s one of our Gibraltar daughters who are females that calve great for us with wonderful maternal instincts and good productivity. Combine this with the Cayenne bull on her dam’s side who was one of our top herd bulls and tipped the scales at 3000 lbs in his prime and you can’t put a better combo together for growth and muscle. We have many Cayenne daughters in our herd and they are our high-performance cows. She’s homo polled too and bred to our reliable Tycoon 34K bull. He calves well and is on his 3rd calf crop.

Polled Purebred. Non Dilutor. Mazda is going to be a nice sized girl as she matures. She has that beautiful dark red coloring with the blaze just like her momma and her sire. Check out the picture of the Jackpot bull. He’s one of the best bulls to come out of our cow herd and he also has a half fleckvieh pedigree. He makes his calves deep sided and thick but they come out easily with great calving ease. We’ve used Jackpot on heifers all the way up to mature cows due to his awesome versatility. Mazda’s cow family are all nice framed females and quite growthy.
Exposed to Swantewitt Tycoon 34K from March 25 - May 5. Preg checked safe to early January calving.
Homozygous Polled Black Purebred. Memory is a gorgeous black, blaze faced heifer. There’s not much to fault on this girl. She’s good to handle and beautiful to look at. She’s another Jackpot daughter crossed with a solid black dam. The cow family goes way back to one of my old 4-H cows. These are foundation females when it comes to our black and red program. The Green 246G cow is lovely to work with and I always look forwards to the calf she is going to have every year. Memory was a struggle for us to let go from the herd but we always strive to offer our best heifers in this sale. She truly is one of the top girls and her Jackpot brothers were some of our highest selling bulls in our sale this past year.

It was tough letting Mabel go I must admit. She is everything we love about Simmental cattle. A big long bodied female with as much volume and style as you would ever want. She has that wow factor when you look at her and her pedigree stacks right up with the best. With “Standout” and “Dorothy Jane” close on the bottom, which if you have ever talked to Dan Skeels about what that cow has done for his program you know that Mabel is bound to be productive for her new owner. She will be easy to find sale day. The early service to Anchor D Imax is just the cherry on top.
