On behalf of Transcon Livestock, the long-time consignors and this year’s new consignors, we welcome you to the 29th Annual Advantage Bull Sale held at SLS Saskatoon.

This year’s offering is as strong and as good as one would expect. All segments of the Simmental breed will be represented, as well as a powerful set of extra age Charolais bulls. There will be something to fit everyone’s bull buying needs and budget. Whether it’s a pure power beef bull or a sleep easy calving ease type bull you are looking for, this sale has it. Don’t forget to take Advantage of the extra age bulls that have the capability to get more cows bred.

This is a reputation sale of Simmental and Charolais bulls from a passionate group of consignors that take pride in what they produce to offer buyers a quality product that will go out and work in any environment. Terms&Conditions

TERMS - The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, e-transfer, or wire and are due at the time of sale, unless other arrangements have been made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Transcon reserves the right to charge interest at a rate of 2% per month on overdue accounts. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for their purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Transcon Livestock Corp and/or the Auctioneer shall have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who has not made proper credit clearance prior to the sale with the owner or Sale Managers.

BID - No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted.

SALES TAXES – Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos, and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller.

DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.

PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

INSURANCE – Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser at the time of sale and should be insured. Animals returning to the seller’s farm must be insured.

US BUYERS – There is an additional charge (approximately $300.00 US dollars) that will be applied to each animal purchased. This covers documentation, vet inspections/testing required to export. This cost does not include transportation or brokerage which is the responsibility of the buyer.

CATTLE PICTURES AND INFORMATION PROVIDED - The images in this catalogue are believed to be accurate representations of the individual animals and the information contained in this catalogue is provided by the seller and believed to be true and accurate. Transcon Livestock Corp. and catalogue designers/producers assume no responsibility if the images and/or information as received have been altered or is inaccurate.

ANNOUNCEMENTS – All announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY - A registration/recordation certificate issued by the applicable breed association and duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after settlement has been made. It is the respon-

sibility of the buyer to determine the acceptance of this certificate in any other association.

SHIPPING - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed by the Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.

BREEDERS GUARANTEE - As per applicable Canadian Breed Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. Copies are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price. EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void.

HEALTH - It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.

EMBRYO & SEMEN – Full settlement must be made before release is done and shipping arrangements should be done within 30 days of the sale unless arrangements made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Shipping arrangements and costs are the expense of the purchaser once release has been given.

ACCIDENTS - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors, or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.

Welcome to the Double G portion of the Advantage Bull Sale 2024.

Once again, we have assembled a group of bulls that represent our herd sires. Across the different pedigrees, we feel that they are a high-quality offering that will suite a variety of needs from calving ease to performance to maternal strength. This year was extremely dry in our area, and since we do not creep feed, our weaning weights suffered consequently but those strong Simmental genetics have prevailed and since weaning these bulls have really developed into as good a group as we have ever produced. The two-year-olds in the sale ran on grass with no supplemental feed until the end of October and have really held their own and developed nicely over the winter.

Kunta might actually be the most impressive bull over-age, just based on his late birthday and how well he’s developed. His dam has produced two high-selling powerful females for us both going to Double Bar D. She was late on this breeding, so Kunta got some extra time to develop and we are extremely happy with how he has matured. He’s stout made, good footed, polled and deep pigmented. He’s an excellent example of how Anchor D Fabulous 245H, makes sons at the top of the pen. Before I kick things off on being in my first bull sale. I have a few people I have to thank for helping me get to this point. My parents Nestor and Shirley Kyluik (Thick Wood Hills Simmentals). They do my chores and calve my cows while I’m gone welding in the oil patch. Then I have to thank Ryan and Sara Archdekan ( Arch Holdings) for helping me out huge with my A.I. program and for just cattle advise. And last there is this swell fella by the name of Walter Malysh ( Lonesome Willow Simmentals) who helps me out when I need advice on crossing genetic lines and other Simmental questions. That being said, I hope I am bringing a good group of Full Fleckvieh bulls to the Advantage sale.

I have been around cattle my whole 45yrs of existence. I got out of cattle back in 2004, only to get back in it in 2014 and do the Simmental thing in 2019. Today I am still building a Simmental herd and a commercial herd. So, I cull heavy in hopes of bringing top notch bulls/females to the table. It has been a tough battle to breed the perfect bull/female, but it is sure enjoyable/expensive to try. My bulls/females are all hand fed and I spend a lot of time in the pens to help create a well demeanour animal that doesn’t want to eat you when you go into the pen.
