AUTUMN 2018

FUN FOR ALL AGES Liverpool City Council has invested $8.9m this year improving our bushland, parks and sporting facilities, including building state-of-the-art playgrounds and outdoor gyms. “Council looks after more than 500 parks, sports fields, walkways and cycle ways, but with our population growing at almost 100 new residents a week, it’s more important than ever that we make the most of our open spaces,” said Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller. “In the last 12 months we have built new playgrounds at Aubrey Keech Reserve in Hinchinbrook, Haigh Park in Chipping Norton, Varley Park in Prestons, Wheat Park in Sadlier, and many other locations.” “Our new playgrounds have been designed to be fun for kids of all ages and include climbing walls, swings, rubber safety surfaces, shade sails and solar lighting. Many have outdoor gym equipment too.
