TOKYO CENTRAL

Yorba Linda, CA / 35,570 sf

A local, authentic, communitycentered market focused on bringing generations and cultures together, for the sharing of unique ingredients, customs and interests

This hybrid grocery store & eatery was designed as a cross-generational, cultural catalyst to build connections between East and West, young and old, through the sharing of recipes, culture and language. Using inspiration derived from the traditional, vibrant outdoor markets of Japan, the café/dining features Horigotatsu seating: a traditional raised platform with recessed foot-wells for the tables.

THE GOOD POUR

Gainesville, FL / 3,000 sf

A hospitality-driven retail space that connects with guests and their desire to serve the community and contribute to a greater purpose

This new 3,000 square-foot space capitalizes the client’s main design drivers; Community, Outdoors to Indoors, Wayfinding and Visual Cues, Scaled Sustainability, Guest Engagement, and Sensory Engagement.

From the captivating storefront, radiating transparency and warmth, to the intentional visual cues guiding uncluttered merchandising, every detail aims for clarity and inspiration. Sustainability is ingrained in the design strategy, scalable for both leased and owned properties. Inside, The Good Pour’s mission is vividly communicated through diverse mediums, emphasizing education, inclusion, humor, and humility. Engage your senses with carefully curated music, lighting, and scents, complemented by authentic materials. This is more than a shopping experience; it’s a sensory journey filled with curated moments and lasting memories.

DOWNTOWN CREDO

Orlando, FL / 1,100 sf

Creating positive friction in the community to connect the neighborhood, live the brand promise and serve as a catalyst for change

Located in the heart of a healthcare village, this coffee shop incorporates a “name your price” menu to support their community of coffee growers and incubate local start-up businesses. The highly visible 20’x20’x20’‘cube within a cube’ concept provides a mezzanine space for visitors to dwell or host events while creating a racetrack below for faster paced foot traffic.

CHEDRAUI

Guadalajara, Mexico / 112,000 sf

A sophisticated shopping experience that encourages longer dwell time

Chedraui, one of the largest and most popular hypermarket chains in Mexico, needed to evolve its store prototype to be more competitive with multi-national stores and to provide a better shopping experience for its customers. Through a design competition, Little was selected to create a sophisticated customer experience based on a progressive “less is more” philosophy that focuses on highlighting products and improving store communications. Through simple planning, merchandising and way-finding solutions, the design clears the clutter to celebrate the fresh produce and offering within.

JUST SALAD

Charlotte, NC / 1,823 sf

A quick, casual dining experience focused on providing healthy, sustainable food.

Located within a mixed-use development in the heart of the dynamic SouthPark shopping district, this Just Salad eatery maximizes space, street-level visibility and operations. With a portion of the space situated beneath a parking garage, designers used an abundance of glass at the street-side entrance, providing high visibility, and incorporated natural materials that reinforce the Just Fresh mission focused on health and sustainability. The space includes indoor and outdoor seating, helping to give this next generation development a new destination for healthy eating.

PACIFIC THEATRES BAR

Los Angeles, CA / 69,317 sf

Paying homage to the glamour of Old Hollywood in the Art Deco era

Situated in one of LA’s premium retail developments, this popular movie theatre wanted to enhance its customer experience by enhancing the interiors and expanding it’s concession offerings. Deriving inspiration from the vintage glamour of LA’s film scene, our design team introduced signature design elements that were modern yet respectful to the vintage glamour motif. The signature backlit, brass-framed marquee bar has yielded such compelling revenue results that the concept has been adapted for other locations.

LAZY ACRES NATURAL MARKET

Hermosa Beach, CA / 30,000 sf

Engaging the community in a meaningful lifestyle for wellness

Lazy Acres understands the importance of being dedicated to its local communities. Offering wholesome, natural and organic foods, this supermarket features a working classroom where adults and kids can receive hands-on instruction to learn and taste as they cook. Also central to this design is a “Bee Department,” featuring a live observation Honeybee hive, that highlights these important insects and how they contribute to the food system.

ARIA TUSCAN GRILL

Charlotte, NC / 7,000 sf

Honest and authentic

“craftsmanship” embraces simple old world Italian comfort food in a modern setting

Nestled in Bank of America’s world headquarters, this high-end Tuscan Italian restaurant occupies a former exterior driveway and vehicular drop off area. Our retail team worked with the owner to design a timeless and sophisticated interior that continues to wow new customers and regulars alike.

WHOLE FOODS

Brea, CA / 35,066 sf

A grocery destination that focuses on community health and well-being

Located within a LEED Certified development, this Whole Foods raises the bar on grocery shopping. In addition to offering a vast array of products that go beyond that of other stores, this community destination includes a food hall with quality prepared foods, coffee & juice bars, a wine tasting area with cozy setting and a culinary kitchen attached to a community room on the mezzanine floor with open views to the store and an outdoor seating area.

SHINOLA

Los Angeles, CA / 4,484 sf

Handmade goods, a local eatery and tattoo parlor are carefully integrated to help localize a concept

Shinola required site adaptions for localized design concepts across multiple locations. The design of this Los Angeles store involved transforming a 1915 warehouse into a cohesive retail space that houses three distinct uses - traditional retail, the di Alba Café and a “speakeasy” tattoo salon - while integrating the signature aesthetic elements of the building’s original character. The sleek design result celebrates American craftsmanship against an appropriately industrial back-drop.

NEWFOUND MARKET

Irvine, CA / 34,000 sf

Newfound Market by Bristol Farms is located in the Irvine Spectrum shopping center in Irvine, an outdoor shopping experience in the heart of Orange County

Guided by the core principles of Global, Curated, well-being, and Educational, this new concept is a reimagined food market where healthy meets delicious. The market features a wide variety of food and beverage venues as well as a modern food market, offering even more diverse international foods, as well as having a full restaurant and bar and a separate coffee and juice bar connecting to an outdoor seating area.

THE SPICE HOUSE

Naperville, IL / 1600 sf

A multi-sensory retail experience

This newest location of The Spice House is a multi-sensory retail experience. Inspired by markets and apothecaries of the past, the overall aesthetic blends warm and cool tones to create a calming, neutral environment, perfect for discovering culinary possibilities. A central checkout anchors the store, welcoming customers and serving as a space for product demonstrations and recipe curation.

AIR CONCEPT

Portable Pop-Up Park

Bringing people together through real, authentic, local experiences

This portable pop-up park provides a sense of place and purpose for vacant property ready for redevelopment. Whether set up for a week or six months, this “kit of parts” environment invites local retailers, makers, farmers, entertainers and community groups to breathe life into a retail experience that meets people’s desire for freshness and being together.
