Celebration Ideas

Exit Points

To celebrate the learning achieved throughout this unit, here are some examples of planned exit points for the children to showcase their learning.

Resources

You will need brown paper (scrunched up to give the appearance of a cave wall), coloured pastels, charcoal, paintbrushes, sponges, toothbrushes and straws.

Classroom Caves

Children create their own caves within the classroom. (They could sit under tables).

• Use brown / orange / beige sugar paper.

• Children make their own drawings on the ‘wall’ of their cave.

Cave Art

Continue the class project from last week. Create pieces of cave art including pictographs (cave painting), petroglyphs (carvings) and hand painting (prints and stencils). These can be used for a classroom or corridor display.

Art Museum

Invite parents/carers in to view the children’s artwork created over the last Half Term.
