Avondale is a membership club that is also open to the public. The course is a favorite of locals and plays host to many tournaments both professional and charitable. Architects kept a good deal of native pines standing when creating the course, giving it a more intimate feel. After your round, order some great food at the 19th hole or just sit on the deck and grab a cold one with your friends.
For the first time in more than 100 years, the country club in far North Spokane is being played by non-members thanks to the acquisition of the course by the Kalispel Tribe. First opened in 1898, the course is wellknown for its meticulously kept fairways and greens that reside along the Little Spokane River. Guests of Northern Quest Resort & Casino can now book stay-and-play packages that include an overnight stay in the hotel, dining credit at the 1893 Public House and a round of golf with all transportation included.
When guests finish a round at Circling Raven, they are blown away at what they just experienced. The course has been named one of Golf Digest’s “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” three years in a row. The 620-acre area includes woodlands and wetlands, and with several long cart rides between holes you’ll have extra time to take in the beautiful surroundings. Stayand-play packages are also available through the Coeur d’Alene Casino, which owns and operates Circling Raven.
