Style is more than just the clothes we wear or the way we decorate our homes. It's an expression of our inner selves, a visual language that communicates who we are and what we value. In South Vegas, style takes on a fun flavor, blending the glitz and glamour of the Strip with the laid-back lifestyle of desert living. It's in the way we present ourselves, the spaces we create, and even the drinks we sip on a warm evening.
As we dive into this month's theme of "style," we explore how it permeates every aspect of our lives. From the way we organize our closets to the colors we choose to surround ourselves with, style is a powerful tool for self-expression and personal growth. It's about finding harmony between form and function, between tradition and innovation, and between our individual tastes and the broader cultural zeitgeist.
In this issue, we're thrilled to shine a spotlight on the local businesses and individuals who are making South Vegas and the valley a more posh and stylish place to call home. We've got wardrobe tips from author and retail-expert Joyce Toti, who'll help you curate a closet that's both chic and practical. Influencer Anoushka Dannin shares her expertise on color analysis, teaching us how to choose hues that complement our natural features and boost our confidence. For those who appreciate a well-crafted cocktail, we've got the inside scoop on the latest libations from Todo Bien, where style meets mixology. And because true style extends beyond our wardrobes, we explore the art of organization with Classy Closets, showcasing how a well-designed space – be it a walk-in closet, a pantry, a garage, or even a murphy bed – can elevate your everyday living.
Remember, dear readers, style is not about following trends or breaking the bank. It's about authenticity, creativity, and the courage to express yourself. As you flip through these pages, I hope you'll be inspired to embrace your personal style and let it shine in every aspect of your life. After all, in the words of Yves Saint Laurent, "Fashions fade, style is eternal."

Transforming your closets, pantries, and garage spaces for a clutter-free home
ARTICLE BY TAYLOR SHEA WEST PHOTOGRAPHY BY CLASSY CLOSETS
When it comes to home makeovers, closets are often overlooked. Yet, we use them daily. While maintaining an organized, efficient, and stylish living space is achievable, it is often hard due to busy schedules or confusion on the best organizational route.
Upgrading these areas can make a significant impact on your home's functionality; however, you’re not alone if it seems stressful. With expert insights from Debbie Knutson, Owner of Classy Closets, your closet stresses can be alleviated.
Pantries are a hassle. Between unorganized shelves, opened bags, and children never putting things back in their original spot, it can get overwhelming to look at, and most of the time ends up with things falling out. So, how can you form a plan of action?
“Pantries are a bit tricky. People will have an inspirational photo that they have fallen in love with, however, their space is half to three-quarters the size,” said Debbie. “This is where it comes down to needs versus wants.”
The items that make a custom pantry most desirable? Adjustable shelves for canned goods, baskets on slides that lift for fruits, vegetables, and small snack bags.
“Shallow shelves for spices, slots for cookie sheets, and hooks for aprons and brooms,” added Debbie.
As for clothing closets, they too can get daunting, especially when you have wardrobes for each season or kids who grow out of their clothes every few weeks.
“The standard closet height to have double hang is seven feet. We can frame the closet at eight feet, which will give you an extra shelf all the way around for more storage,” said Debbie. “We can even frame at 10 feet if the space allows and there are no obstacles on the ceiling.”
This will allow for a triple hang for an adult closet. Sometimes a pull-down rod or shepherd’s hook can be used for the clothes up high, creating a good place for out-of-season clothing.
“Nice adult features to add to a custom closet are drawers for jewelry, lift-out hampers, glass inset doors for display, belt/tie racks, valet rods, mirrors, and lighting,” said Debbie.
“For children and baby closets, Classy Closets builds closer to the floor to allow for triple hanging--drawers for diapers and adjustable shelving for baby items. As the years go by, you can move the rods to the upper portion and put the shelves at the bottom to use for toys. Kids can reach the toys, and hopefully put them away,” said Debbie. “Closets are made to grow with you and your family. As your kids become young adults, you can change out the hardware to something more stylish for their taste.”
Inside closets aren't the only ones that get messy! Garage storage is a big issue that many people face. Between holiday items, cars, sports gear, and more, our garages often become an overcrowded, unorganized mess.
“For the garage, we like to install built-in work benches,” said Debbie. “We can design cabinets to fit around rolling toolboxes. In smaller garages, we install upper cabinets to allow a car to still be able to park and open the door to get out.”
Classy Closets also installs wall organizers with different bin and hook options for bikes, garden tools, mechanic tools, and sports equipment. For inside spaces, they also design and install home offices, laundry cabinets, utility rooms, wall beds, and entertainment centers. From basic functional designs to luxury designs, they have a design for all styles and budgets.
Transforming your living spaces doesn't have to be overwhelming. With these expert insights, you can tackle your closet, pantry, and garage organization challenges head-on. Remember, the key is to prioritize your needs, maximize vertical space, and choose versatile solutions that can adapt as your lifestyle changes. By implementing these professional tips, you'll be well on your way to creating functional, stylish, and stress-free storage areas throughout your home. Whether you're dealing with a cramped pantry, an overflowing closet, or a chaotic garage, these strategies will help you reclaim your space and enjoy a more organized, efficient home.

Choosing the perfect outfit for any occasion can be a daunting task, especially when your closet is a chaotic mess. Organizing a wardrobe efficiently to help with this process can be a challenge for those without retail experience or formal training. But what if there was a rhyme and reason to it all? Enter Joyce Toti, a seasoned expert in luxury retail and the founder of Collective Women’s Leadership, who offers her invaluable advice on mastering your closet in her new book, "Wardrobe Wisdom."
Joyce has a rich history in the retail industry, having led sales teams for world-renowned brands such as LVMH, Tory Burch, and Nordstrom for more than two decades. Her experience has equipped her with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of the importance of a well-organized wardrobe. She now channels this expertise into helping women enhance their professional and personal lives through Collective Women’s Leadership (collectivewomensleadership.com), an organization dedicated to empowering women across all stages of their careers.
If you're ready to transform your wardrobe or need a refresh, Joyce’s advice is a great place to start. Here are some of her top wardrobe tips:
• Purpose: Arrange items so they are easily accessible, maintainable, and space efficient.
• Steps: Declutter. Remove items that are no longer needed or used.
• Categorize: Group similar items together (e.g., shirts with shirts, pants with pants).
• Storage Solutions: Use appropriate storage tools like bins, shelves, hangers, and dividers.
• Arrange: Place items based on frequency of use, season, or other personal preferences.
• Maintain: Establish a system to keep the closet tidy and organized over time.
• Purpose: Create an aesthetically pleasing and inspirational display that highlights the wardrobe's style and variety.
• Steps:
• Visual Appeal: Arrange items to create an inviting and visually attractive space.
• Theme: Organize clothing by color, occasion, or style to create cohesive looks.
• Highlight Key Pieces: Place standout items in prominent positions to draw attention.
• Decorative Elements: Add elements like lighting, mirrors, or artwork to enhance the overall look.
• Styling: Use techniques such as layering or accessorizing within the display to highlight how items can be worn together.
• Understand Your Lifestyle: Evaluate your daily activities and needs to determine the types of clothing and accessories you require most.
• Quality Over Quantity: Invest in high-quality, timeless pieces that will last longer and remain stylish.
• Color Coordination: Choose a color palette that complements your personal style and skin tone.
• Seasonal Rotation: Rotate clothing seasonally to keep your wardrobe relevant and manageable.
• Accessibility: Keep frequently used items within easy reach.
• Personal Expression: Your wardrobe should reflect your personality and style preferences.
• Regular Maintenance: Regularly review and declutter your wardrobe to keep it organized and functional.
Joyce also emphasizes the importance of staple pieces that can be styled for various occasions. According to her, every wardrobe should include a white button-down shirt, dark wash jeans, and a little black dress (LBD). These items are versatile, timeless, and can be effortlessly transformed from casual to formal wear.
Casual Style: Pair it with jeans and sneakers for a laid-back yet polished look. Roll up the sleeves and wear it untucked with shorts and sandals for a relaxed summer vibe. Or layer it over a tank top or a t-shirt and leave it open for a casual, effortless look. Formal Style: Tuck it into tailored trousers or a pencil skirt, add heels, and accessorize with statement jewelry for a chic office outfit. Pair it with a sleek blazer and dress pants for a professional appearance. Or style it with a midi or maxi skirt, add elegant accessories, and opt for pumps or heeled sandals for a sophisticated evening look.
“EVERY WARDROBE SHOULD INCLUDE A WHITE BUTTON-DOWN SHIRT, DARK WASH JEANS, AND A LITTLE BLACK DRESS.”
Casual Style: Wear them with a t-shirt, denim jacket, and sneakers for a comfortable and stylish everyday outfit. Pair them with a cozy sweater and ankle boots for a casual yet put-together look. Or combine them with a casual blouse, tank top, and sandals for a relaxed summer style.
Formal Style: Dress them up with a blouse or a fitted top, add a tailored blazer, and complete the look with heels for a smart casual office outfit. Pair them with a silk or satin blouse and elegant accessories for a sophisticated dinner or evening event. Or style them with a structured top and statement jewelry, opting for dressier shoes like heeled boots or loafers.
Casual Style: Dress it down with a denim or leather jacket, ankle boots, or sneakers for a chic and comfortable daytime look. Pair it with a cardigan or oversized sweater and flats for a cozy, relaxed outfit. Or wear it with a simple scarf, a crossbody bag, and casual sandals for an easygoing yet stylish look.
Formal Style: Elevate it with high heels, a statement necklace or earrings, and a clutch for a sophisticated evening look. Add a tailored blazer and classic pumps for a professional, polished office outfit. Or pair it with elegant accessories, such as a shawl or a statement belt, and choose refined footwear like heeled sandals or stilettos for a formal event.
Joyce also recommends owning one high-quality blazer that can be paired with any of the above items. A classic blazer in black, navy, or gray can instantly elevate any outfit, making it suitable for both casual and formal occasions.
When asked about the importance of teaching rather than simply doing, Joyce shares: "Organizing a closet is about arranging items so they are easily accessible and space efficient. This involves steps like decluttering, categorizing, using appropriate storage solutions, and establishing a maintenance system. On the other hand, merchandising a closet focuses on creating a visually appealing and inspirational display. This includes arranging items to create an inviting space, organizing clothing by color or style, and using decorative elements to enhance the overall look."
For more tips on transforming your closet and elevating your style, Joyce's book, "Wardrobe Wisdom," is a must-read. It offers a refreshing perspective on thoughtfully curating and organizing your existing clothing, helping you create a collection that brings joy, satisfaction, and pride. Whether you're looking to streamline your style, boost your confidence, or find greater contentment in your daily choices, this book is your key to unlocking the transformative power of your wardrobe.

Forget what you know about Tiki bars for a few minutes and prepare yourself for Todo Bien Tiki Tequileria where the craft cocktails are all prepared with housemade infusions, syrups and a beautiful array of fresh produce delivered daily. The cocktails are not primarily rum based – the well-experienced Lead Mixologist Rylen Komeiji incorporates fine tequila, mezcal, and other spirits in his menu design.
Now picture the usual Tiki bar setting and wipe that from your mind. The interior seating areas and exterior patio at Todo Bien are Central Mexico-styled spaces with some décor dating over 100 years old while other pieces were custom made in Mexico and West Texas. Now that you’re intrigued, let me fill in some more details.
“Our focus is on craft cocktails with fresh ingredients,” Rylen began. “We are what’s called a ‘farm to glass’ Tikiinfluenced bar. We serve quality liquor, fresh agave, and premium ingredients. We strive to capture the current audience and trends going on right now.”
Watching Rylen at work, he stylized four cocktails for us:
Seven Serpents is their take on a smoked Old Fashioned but with all corn – including a 100 percent ancestral Mexican corn whisky, corn-infused agave, corn liqueur, corn smoke, mango, and tamarind.
La Dama Tapada, meaning the Veiled Lady, is served “low, slow, and super cold” with a base of black pepper and cilantro infused vodka (that even guests who avoid cilantro will love), Demerara sugar, lime juice, and blood orange ginger beer.
Solare Flare starts with mezcal, and tequila infused with stone fruit, macadamia nut syrup, passion fruit, fire water (made by soaking a habanero in high proof liquor) and Velvet Falernum Caribbean liqueur.

“Our
Monkey in a Tree was the final cocktail we tried and was described as a clarified pina colada (not the thick cream drink you are thinking of, instead this cocktail was as clear as a bell) made with banana and Jamaican rum, lime juice, coconut, pineapple, and topped with Midori foam. The garnish is almost as tantalizing as the libations themselves, the rocks glasses are handblown in Guadalajara and the straws are made from agave.
“I came to Las Vegas 16 years ago and at first, I just wanted to go back to my home in Texas. But during COVID I thought, ‘why go back?’ A switch flipped and I knew I wanted to create Todo Bien – meaning everything is going to be just fine - right here, as no one here had seen anything like this,” owner Matthew “Matty” Salazar commented. “We chose the UnCommons because we love it here. The energy is good for locals, and it’s accessible to the Strip and other neighborhoods. People want to come to a place that doesn’t have gaming or cigarette smoke for an elevated experience that’s both unique and personal.”
The two distinctly different spaces, inside and out, become one after sunset when the two large garage doors are rolled up and opened. And the total capacity, about 90 people, accommodates large group reservations.

Influencer Anoushka Dannin unlocks the secret to youthful radiance with seasonal color analysis
The resurgence of color analysis has skyrocketed on on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, garnering hundreds of millions of views. Videos showcasing dramatic before-and-after transformations have captivated audiences, leading many to explore their own color palettes and learn what looks best on them and even how to look younger. This renewed interest led me to explore the trend further.
My experience with local influencer Anoushka Dannin, a renowned Seasonal Color Analyst and founder of ForYourReputation (@ForYourReputation, msha.ke/foryourreputation), completely changed my perspective on my personal style. Anoushka’s approach and tailored results demonstrated the power of wearing the right colors - from clothes, makeup, and even hair color - to enhance my appearance and boost my confidence.
It’s evident that color analysis is re-modernizing the way people approach fashion and beauty. By identifying the colors that harmonize with your skin undertone, this method can help you look younger, feel more luminous, and make smarter
wardrobe choices. Anoushka explains, “Seasonal Color Analysis involves studying a person’s skin undertone to determine the most flattering color palette. When these colors match your undertone, hue, intensity, and value, they create a harmonious image.”
The benefits of color analysis extend far beyond simply looking good in clothes. Anoushka emphasizes its anti-aging effects: “When we wear colors that compete with our skin undertone versus those that harmonize with it, that can cause our complexion to be impacted negatively. There could be more shadowing on areas of our face. It can cause our skin texture to appear less smooth.”
She adds, “It can make our skin coloring look more yellow and sickly versus healthy, bright and glowing. It can enhance the pink areas on our complexion instead of soothing them. I have seen color act like a mini face lift by creating a narrow and lifted jawline. It is an incredible anti-aging tool.”
The process of color analysis typically involves a professional consultant draping various colored CONTINUED >

fabrics near the client’s face to determine which hues enhance their natural coloring. The results are then categorized into one of four seasonal palettes: Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter, with further subdivisions within each season.
I had the opportunity to experience a virtual color analysis session firsthand with Anoushka. The transformation was remarkable. As a “True Summer,” I realized colors I had previously avoided suddenly made my skin glow, while others I thought were flattering actually dulled my complexion or made my skin have a yellow tint. I was reassured that my hair color works well with my color palette, but I could use some work on my makeup shades. It was a truly eye-opening experience that reshaped the way I view and approach my personal style.
Anoushka’s services, offered both in-person and virtually, provide clients with a comprehensive analysis and tools to implement their newfound
knowledge. “In-person client sessions are about an hour and include a full analysis with draping, a more than 20-page report and a digital file of their ‘season’ to shop with,” she explains. “Virtual clients send in three pictures to be analyzed within seven to 10 business days and receive the same report and digital file. The results are an investment that lasts a lifetime!”
While clothing is the most obvious application of color analysis, Anoushka stresses that it goes beyond just wardrobe choices. “Clothes are the most obvious element, yes, but hair and makeup will by far make the most difference,” she says. “Color analysis teaches you which makeup techniques to use as well as the colors. It will help you select the ideal hair coloring that enhances your overall complexion as well. What you wear around your face is what impacts your complexion, so your hair color is very important.”
For those new to color analysis, Anoushka offers some practical advice: “Your goal is to curate about 95 percent of your closet to your palette and have 5 percent be YOLO. Step one is to look at what you already have in your palette and wear it. Set everything else aside. Try some of your new colors on your nails or lips. Ease into this. It takes about five years to edit your closet to your palette. This is going to be a process so do not rush. It will be worth it though!”
Interestingly, Anoushka notes that color analysis can reveal more than just what looks good on you. “Your seasonal color palette is somewhat a part of your personality, like your zodiac sign,” she explains. “Each of the 16 palettes have personality
traits. It is another layer in the onion of who you are for you to discover.”
It’s clear that this innovative approach has far-reaching benefits. By embracing the colors that complement our unique skin undertones, we can unlock a newfound radiance and confidence that goes beyond mere aesthetics. Anoushka’s expertise and guidance have shown me that color analysis is more than just a resurfaced fashion trend; it’s a transformative tool that enhances our natural beauty and personal style. Whether you’re looking to rejuvenate your wardrobe, elevate your makeup routine, or simply discover a new facet of yourself, seasonal color analysis offers a personalized path to looking and feeling your best.
