joy and magic to more than 3,000 victims of domestic abuse and their children during what can be a difficult and dark time. Wonderland 2017 has two components. The first is a Polar Express-themed holiday carnival for residents of emergency shelter and transitional housing, featuring themed arts and crafts, games, food, entertainment and other fun surprises. The second is a donation drive to provide gift cards to clients, empowering them to shop for their families for the holidays. With the help of the community, Chrysalis provides each client with enough gift cards to purchase gifts for their children, as well as cook a holiday meal. Donors can sponsor a child for $50, sponsor an adult for $25 and feed a family member for $15. There are also opportunities to sponsor different aspects of the holiday carnival. Chrysalis, a 36-year-old Arizona agency, leads the community to broad-based solutions to prevent domestic abuse. The lives of more than 1,400 individuals are impacted each year. Services include crisis shelter, transitional housing, outpatient counseling, offender treatment, victim advocacy and lay-legal support. To make your contribution to Wonderland, visit NoAbuse.org.
