MYLANDS

Having produced paint for more than 120 years, Mylands, a family business, is Britain’s oldest paint manufacturer. “Even before the emergence of Pinewood Studios in 1935, Mylands was an established name within the British Film Industry,” says its Managing Director Dominic Myland.

Today, many of Mylands paints are still made to original formulations using natural earth pigments, having developed their emulsions in the 1950s using the highest quality resins and pigments, which is now rare in paint production. This gives the paint a unique quality ideally suited to scenic construction in the theatre, television and film industry. It also makes the paint eco-friendly.

For homes, there is more good news. Mylands’ ‘Colours Of London Range,’ available at designerpaint.co.uk, comprises of a fully researched palette boasting integrity. What’s more, all of the paints are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, so that you don’t need to buy two different tins, and the technical specifications of the paint makes it so durable that you can wipe or even scrub painted walls and they will not discolour or fade. No wonder it’s fit for the Queen, and the movies, it’s time for Mylands to take a starring role in our homes too!
