Unison is an interior architecture and interior design studio. Our work is a reflection of our curiosity about colour, form, material and the many facets of art and culture.
Each collaboration becomes its own identity that is exquisitely different and unique. Unison is comprised of a collection of designers, craftspeople and project managers have worked on 5-star hospitality, luxury residential and commercial projects around the world. Each difference of thought and opinion bring valuable perspective to the projects. As a result, the spaces we design are always vibrant, multi-faceted and have significant depth and richness.
Our act of designing is actualizing potential in the dialogue we have with a client or stakeholder, our understanding of the context and a firm acknowledgement of the aspiration of the project. The process of design is an iterative process of fine tuning the built form. We are in constant exploration of all aspects of our curiosity. The insight, strength and elegance we bring to all our collaborations are endless and without boundaries. We firmly believe in the trajectory of our work beyond our immediate involvement and are fully engaged in as aspects of it.

RESIDENTIAL PRE-FAB CONCEPT
Brown Valley, California
Credit: Unison Group
Unison created a modular retreat concept for a client in California, designing a prefabricated unit that can be deployed across varied landscapes and clustered in multiple configurations. The design explores how compact architecture can still feel expansive, using full-height glazing, operable timber screens, and fold-down deck elements to dissolve the boundary between interior and landscape.
The exterior skin functions as a dynamic envelope: slatted panels pivot, slide, or fully open to form shading, privacy layers, or extended outdoor platforms. This flexibility allows each cube to adapt to climate, orientation, and the level of seclusion desired. Inside, a warm, minimal palette and crafted vertical timber elements create a sense of intimacy and verticality within a small footprint, while lofted sleeping spaces and integrated storage maximise usability.
The cubes can be placed individually or clustered into small ‘villages’ giving groups the ability to gather while maintaining privacy. The entire system was developed in close collaboration with fabricators to optimise off-site manufacturing, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and the potential for large-scale rollouts. The result demonstrates how modular architecture can deliver a refined, elevated hospitality experience - one that feels deeply connected to place despite its compact scale.
23 HOLLYWOOD
Toronto, Canada
Credit: Unison Group
Our team was asked to reposition the shared interior spaces of 23 Hollywood, a fifteen year old building. The goal was to introduce a more contemporary character that felt aligned with its urban setting and the expectations of current residents.
Our team reworked the lobby, concierge desk, seating areas, lift corridors and resident corridors. The design approach focused on clarity, updated materiality and a more confident sense of arrival. Softly veined stone panels, bronze accents and integrated lighting were introduced to bring warmth and structure to the existing architecture.
VIEWS ON THE PRESERVE CONDOMINIUMS
Toronto, Ontario
Credit: Unison Group
The common areas at Views on the Preserve were designed to reflect the development’s relationship to its natural surroundings while maintaining a contemporary, urban sensibility. Soft tones, layered textures and refined detailing establish a calm foundation that connects the interiors to the landscape just beyond the windows. This approach creates a welcoming arrival experience and a consistent visual language throughout the shared spaces.
Classic architectural elements were interpreted in a modern way to bring a sense of structure and quiet sophistication. The combination of warm wood panelling, subtle artwork and tailored furnishings gives the building a grounded character that aligns with both its residential purpose and its setting. The result is a series of interiors that feel composed, comfortable and closely tied to the environment around them.
HELIA CAPITAL OFFICE
Toronto, Canada
Credit: Unison Group
Unison was the local design partner for the Helia Capital head office in downtown Toronto. The design focused on expressing the company’s brand identity through both visual and spatial elements. Every part of the office was considered with care, incorporating custom details and a refined material palette to support a professional and engaging work environment.
The quartz boardroom table acts as a central feature, bringing a distinctive presence to the space. Gradient frosted glass partitions provide privacy while maintaining a connection to the exterior views, and reflective cabinetry subtly echoes the surrounding city towers. Carefully recessed ceiling details further define the architecture of the interior. The result is a workplace that balances functionality with a thoughtful and cohesive design expression.
GLENHILL HOTEL
Toronto, Canada

Glenhill is a boutique hotel designed with a calm, contemporary character. The rooms use a warm, neutral palette and simple architectural lines to create an atmosphere that feels comfortable and refined.
Each room is organised around clear functional zones, with dedicated areas for sleeping, working and relaxing. Millwork elements bring storage, a small bar and integrated features into a single, ordered composition, helping the space remain visually uncluttered.
The overall design focuses on clarity, proportion and materials chosen for their quiet presence. The result is an interior that feels elegant, adaptable and easy for guests to settle into.
HIGHPOINT

Highpoint is a multi-residential development in Saskatoon where our design team contributed both interior architecture and interior design from the early stages of the project.
Our work included shaping the interior massing, planning the amenity spaces, and organising the overall program to support how residents move through and experience the building. We also arranged the exterior amenities to ensure a natural connection between indoor and outdoor areas.
89 AVENUE
Toronto, Canada
Credit: Unison Group
This private residence was designed as a calm retreat from the intensity of the city. Unison worked closely with the owner to create a fully personalized home, using a clear sequence of vestibules, archways and portals to establish privacy and a sense of progression from one space to the next. The interior architecture and furnishings were developed together so that rooms feel cohesive rather than assembled over time.
A restrained palette of dark timber, stone and warm metal anchors the main living areas. The kitchen combines wood, metal and glass cabinetry with artisan bronze accents, while a quartz stone fireplace and custom bar elements bring continuity to the adjoining lounge and dining spaces. At the centre of the plan, a glass enclosed wine room acts as both functional storage and a sculptural focal point, visually linking the kitchen, dining and living zones.
In the private areas, classic detailing is balanced with contemporary lines. The primary suite pairs a soft, layered bedroom with a glass framed ensuite that features a minimalist stone vanity, illuminated mirrors and a freestanding tub that recalls a boutique hotel. Custom leather wrapped closet interiors, curated artwork and textured textiles reflect the client’s global influences and give the home a tailored, enduring character.

Unison provided interior design services for select spaces within the Hilton Atlanta Northeast hotel, focusing on creating a contemporary and welcoming guest experience. The work introduced a cohesive material palette and clear spatial organization that support both the social and functional needs of a full-service hotel. Warm finishes, thoughtful detailing and considered lighting help establish a comfortable atmosphere suited to guests arriving for business or leisure.
The design approach emphasized clarity, comfort and ease of use, enhancing circulation and reinforcing a sense of continuity across the areas touched by Unison. The result is a refined hospitality environment that aligns with the broader character of the Hilton brand while offering guests a calm and well composed place to gather and unwind.
169 DONWAY
Toronto, Canada
Credit: Unison Group
This mid-market development was planned to support both residential comfort and a stronger sense of community. The ground level brings retail and shared amenities together to create an active streetscape, giving residents and visitors a clear and welcoming point of entry.
Early spatial planning established a defined separation between the rental and condominium components, allowing each to maintain its own identity and level of privacy. Circulation, lobby placement, and service areas were organised to make day-to-day movement intuitive and efficient for residents.
Inside the building, amenities are arranged in a series of distinct pockets that support different modes of living. Some areas encourage social connection, while others provide quieter zones for work or rest. The overall design places emphasis on accessibility, comfort and wellness, giving residents a balanced environment that feels considered and easy to navigate.

STRATA WYNWOOD
Miami, USA
Credit: Unison Group
Our role in the Strata Wynwood project was to develop an interior and exterior design approach that resonated with the evolving character of Miami’s Wynwood neighbourhood. While many nearby developments lean toward a bold, playful aesthetic, Unison aimed to create spaces that felt both distinctive and appropriate for the area. The design introduces a human-scale experience that carries a sense of refinement while still embracing the lighthearted, creative energy that defines the project.
Given the climate and urban setting, it was important to take advantage of Miami’s warm weather and the project’s physical context. Many of the shared spaces were shaped to feel like a retreat within the city, offering residents a calm, oasis-like environment anchored by thoughtful material choices and a cohesive indoor-outdoor relationship.

Atlanta, USA
Credit: Unison Group
125 Spring St. is an adaptive reuse project in downtown Atlanta where an existing office building was transformed into a rental and hospitality-oriented property. The goal was to reconfigure the suites and shared spaces so they could support shorter stays while remaining comfortable and efficient for guests and longterm residents. The layouts were planned to maximise usability, with compact, organised rooms that feel open and easy to settle into.
To balance this efficiency, the common areas were given a stronger sense of hospitality, using warm light, contemporary furnishings and simple detailing to create inviting moments throughout the building. The palette stays understated, allowing the heritage character of the existing structure to remain visible while the new interiors bring clarity, comfort and a renewed sense of identity.
