Good afternoon, and Happy Friday!
I hope you have enjoyed a fun summer so far Can you believe it is the fi take a moment to share some updates and reflections with you. Over the past few weeks, I have been working diligently to get to know our Laurel Hall teachers through one-on-one meetings. It has been a truly rewarding experience connecting with each of them and learning more about their summer adventures, passions, and ideas before we dive into our important work together I am continually impressed by the kindness, dedication, and hard work that defines our team
As we prepare for the return of our amazing students, there is much to do. Our faculty and staff have been engaging with the book The Formative Five by Thomas Hoerr. I hope you have found the readings insightful and support helpful conversations for you and your children. Developing this common language around empathy, self-control, embracing diversity, integrity, and grit, along with making thoughtful choices is vital for our success The common commitment and language help enhance and foster a positive school culture like Laurel Hall School It aligns perfectly with our motto: Be Kind!
See you on August 11th for a special event on campus sponsored by our PTO on Campus! Pizza celebration on the Quad 4-6pm. Enter through the gate off the parking lot. Also on August 11th, I will be introduced during the 10:00AM service at Emmanuel Lutheran Church across the street from LHS. There will be a meet and greet after church.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm for Laurel Hall School. I look forward to all that we will accomplish together in the coming year. GO HORNETS!
