Thank you to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the LHS PTO for the warm “Welcome Events” last Sunday (including the delicious tacos and pizza!) I met so many wonderful people and can tell that our partnership is going to be strong as we approach this important year I valued the time to meet many of you and recognize there are many more students and families to meet I look forward to it I was so impressed with the number of students who came and introduced themselves to me. Their confidence, joyful faces, and genuine interest in meeting me was heartwarming.
I’m thrilled to announce that we will soon be sharing important details with you, including class schedules, teacher assignments, program details, and what to expect on the first day of school You can expect this communication on August 26th. This issue of The Buzz has a “Meet the Teacher” section where you will find information about our current and incoming teacher assignments. Your child’s experience this year is our top priority, and we’re excited to introduce you to some fantastic new teachers who have joined our team. Their passion and dedication promise to bring inspiring perspectives to our program.
I’m confident that this year will be filled with engagement, learning, friendships, growth, and memorable experiences for every student
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. The LHS faculty and staff can’t wait to welcome your family back to school and embark on this new academic year together!

Our Congregation Council has decided to have a lunch on Wednesday, September 4, at 11:30 a.m. in the Church Reception Room for our visiting missionary that we support. She will lead a devotion and present a program on her work.
Our missionary moves about to do leadership training, including for pastors, seminarians, and lay people. She received her B.A. in Religion from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, her M. Div. from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN, her M. Th. In Christian Education from Princeton Theo. Seminary, Princeton, N.J., and her Master of Education from Seattle Pacific University, Seattle, WA. Her last visit to Emmanuel was in 2018.
Everyone is invited to attend. Please contact Sue Clauss at sueelc@aol.com if you can attend and/or help with the lunch. This is a time to learn and hear about how your money is used in foreign ministry and what missionary work looks like today.
Thank you to everyone that was able to make it to our Pizza with the Principal event! It was great meeting some of the many new families joining our community and spending time with our returning families for food, fun and connection
We are so happy that so many kids and parents got a chance to connect with our new principal, Mrs. Marti McCloud. We know she enjoyed meeting everyone so much and feels incredibly excited about the year ahead as are we all!
As everyone enjoys their last few days of summer vacation, it’s never too early to start thinking about how you can get involved during the upcoming school year. Check out our list of open chair positions HERE and email us with any questions at PTOpresident@laurelhall.com.
