FALL AT LAUREL CREEK: INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCES AWAIT
As autumn sets in and the leaves begin to change, Laurel Creek is alive with the energy of the season! Our calendar is packed with exciting events, elegant evenings, and memorable moments designed to bring our members together. Whether you’re looking for family fun, a night out with friends, or a relaxing dinner with your favorite cocktail, there’s something special for everyone this fall.
Halloween Spectacular & Fall Gala: Our Marquee Events of the Season
The Halloween Spectacular is one of the most anticipated family events of the year! Costumes, themed décor, games, candy, and festive fun await members of all ages. From spooky scenes to safe trick-or-treating and creative activities, it’s an evening designed to delight our youngest ghosts and ghouls — and the parents who join them!
Then, save the date for our signature event of the year — The Fall Gala. This elegant evening is Laurel Creek at its finest: a celebration of friendship, music, and community. Enjoy an exquisite dinner, live entertainment, and a night of dancing in your best formal attire. It’s the perfect opportunity to dress up, celebrate, and create everlasting memories with friends old and new.
BRUNCH IN BLU
Back by popular demand, Brunch in Blu transforms your Sunday morning into a relaxing and elegant experience. Savor chef-crafted dishes, sparkling mimosas, and the company of friends in a beautiful setting that captures the spirit of fall.
DINNER IN THE DARK
Ready for something truly unique? Join us for Dinner in the Dark, an unforgettable culinary experience that heightens your senses and
challenges your palate. This one-of-a-kind dining adventure is a member favorite — mysterious, fun, and filled with laughter and surprises.
CASUAL DINING, COZY NIGHTS & NEW MENUS
While our event lineup shines this season, we also want to be your go-to destination for casual dining and cozy nights out. Whether you’re watching your favorite team in the bar, enjoying a quiet dinner in the Grill Room, or joining friends for a drink on the patio, our team is here to make every visit special.
We’re excited to roll out new fall menu items and a seasonal drink menu, featuring creative cocktails and local favorites. Be sure to check out our Quick Bytes social media series, where our staff share behind-the-scenes moments, drink demos, and fun food features — including “Drinks on the Course,” sampled by our members themselves!
THE COURSE IN ALL ITS FALL GLORY
If you’ve been out on the course lately, you’ve seen just how special this time of year can be. The greens are rolling fast, the colors are spectacular, and the conditions are absolutely prime. Fall golf at Laurel Creek is a true gem — crisp air, stunning scenery, and the best time of year for a casual round with friends.
So whether you’re here for golf, dining, or one of our amazing seasonal events, we can’t wait to see you around the Club.
LOOKING AHEAD: THE HOLIDAYS AT LAUREL CREEK
The holidays will be here before you know it! Laurel Creek offers the perfect setting for both intimate gatherings and large celebrations. Patty Fagan
DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP
There’s something about fall at Laurel Creek that feels truly special. Maybe it’s the crisp air, the colors around the course, or the excitement of all the events that fill our calendar this time of year. Fall has always been a season of gratitude for me, and this year, it feels especially meaningful as my husband and I celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary. It’s a reminder of how much joy and connection this time of year brings, both personally and here at the Club.
Our team works hard behind the scenes to create and continually improve each event, from family favorites like our Halloween Party to elegant evenings like the Fall Gala. Last year’s Halloween celebration welcomed over 900 attendees, and I can’t wait to see the kids (and parents!) show off their costumes again on Monday, October 27.
While family events continue to thrive, I’d love to see our adult social events make a strong comeback. In 2021 and 2022, the Fall Gala was the party of the year, but attendance has dipped in recent years, and some events have even had to be canceled due to low sign-ups. I know everyone’s busy, but when you support club events (even just a few) it keeps the Laurel Creek spirit vibrant and strong.
Our Fall Gala returns on Friday, November 14, and I hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a beautiful and lively evening with friends.
Also, a quick reminder that our Membership Referral Program runs through April 2026. Members who refer a friend who joins receive a $1,000 credit, and this year, 22 members have already done so thank you for helping our community grow!
Here’s to a season full of celebration, gratitude, and great memories with the people who make Laurel Creek feel like home.

MEMBER PHOTO REMINDER
If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to upload your photo to the Laurel Creek mobile app. It really helps our team recognize members quickly and ensures that charges are applied to the correct account especially since some membership numbers can sound similar (like “D132” and “E132”).
If you’re not sure how to upload your photo, just email it to Patty Fagan and she’ll be happy to do it for you. Once your photo is uploaded, simply let Patty or John Geller know, and you’ll receive a complimentary cocktail the next time you’re at the Club. Cheers!

HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL
With long-serving GM Joel Inman leaving for other opportunities, our Director of Golf, Bob Hennefer, took over the Interim GM role and kept the club flourishing. Our department was tasked to keep the operation running without the Department head, who was in place for the season. I want to take this month’s news article to highlight some of our outstanding staff and give you a brief look into what each employee’s role is in the day-to-day operation of our organization.
GLEN GARDNER, PGA
Glen is currently wrapping up his 20th (!!) season at Laurel Creek. Always fast with a joke, Glen is one of the most approachable people I’ve ever seen at a Country Club. While many of our longerterm members recognize Glen from the many years he’s been here, he is specifically great with our junior program. Glen’s influence in the inner workings of our department is specifically felt in our Tournament program, which he runs to perfection.
MATT DIELEUTERIO, PGA ASSOCIATE
Matt joined our team three years ago and hit the ground running. Always reliable, Matt is instrumental in everything our golf shop does. From inputting invoices to merchandising to collaborating with our buying, Matt has truly helped us to elevate our golf shop into what it is today. Matt and his wife Alex welcomed a new son, Charlie, this year, and it’s only a matter of time before we see Charlie at the club with some junior clubs. Charlie would be lucky to hit it as far as his Dad one day!
RYAN O’NEILL, PGA ASSOCIATE
In his second season at the club, Ryan continues to lead our outstanding outside staff. Managing 30+ employees during the season, Ryan has implemented training systems, recruited and retained staff, and brought an exemplary work ethic to our outside team. New to the PGA program, Ryan has assumed some responsibilities in the golf shop and with our teaching programs. The sky is the limit for Ryan in our industry, and I am extremely excited to see the Golf Professional he will become. We are lucky to be the club to have him at the start of his journey.
LOUIE ROSSNER
In 2025, Louie was promoted to a manager’s role and flourished. Affectionately known by what it seems like every member, Louie is an example to all the outside staff and a key part of our team. His positive attitude and affable personality are invaluable amongst our team because of his relationship with members and the rest of the staff. Fully deserving of his promotion and respected by everyone, we can only hope to retain Louie for 2026 and beyond.
While the managers all deserve recognition, the remainder of our staff deserve recognition as well. Golf shop attendants Joan Klinger (completing her 32nd season!!), Kaitlyn Roland, Stephanie McElroy, and Ajuni Oberoi are all instrumental in allowing our professional staff some spatial mobility. Our teaching professionals, John Appleget (excellent with our enormous junior program) and Dave Quinn (incredible teacher/player/person), do great work and were key to our team.
I hope everyone will join me in thanking our excellent staff for their work during what was yet another successful season at Laurel Creek.

LCWGA
Fall may be officially here but Laurel Creek ladies have been busy on the golf course with lots of fun events! Congratulations to Ladies Senior Club Champion, Christine Blessing, and to net division Ladies Senior Club Champion, Susan Odegard. As per Chrissy Duman, “They outlasted and outplayed in some nasty conditions. The round needed to be finished the next morning because of the storms that rolled through during the match and once the rain stopped the course became unplayable. It was quite wet to finish the round even though the sun did come out. Way to persevere, ladies!”
Our admiration and applause to both Christine and Susan.
Nine Hole Invitationals concluded on September 11th with a fun Shamble and buffet lunch at Moorestown Field Club. The USA theme saw everyone dressed in red, white and blue with room decorations to match! Team Laurel Creek consisted of the following players: Heidi Bourke, Lorraine Fillimon, Rita Gordon, Noelle Noyes, Dana Phipps, Kelly Redkay, and Maryann Stack. Both Noelle and Heidi made us proud as they took home prizes for their excellent play! Congratulations, ladies!
nine and two best balls on the back nine. First place gross went to Donna McHugh and her guests. First place net winners were Eileen Burke, Chrissy Duman and guests while second place winners went to Dana Phipps, Joanne Seltzer and guests and third place winners were Grace Chung, Jennifer Halfpenny, Susan Studley and guest. Heidi Bourke had longest drive of 279 yards on Hole #5 while Christine Blessing was closest to the pin (9’11”) on Hole # 14. After the round a buffet lunch with results of the day including creative prizes and giveaways (Catherine Reece pottery) was held in the ballroom. A big “Thank You” to Eileen Burke and Marybeth Taras along with our fabulous golf pros for planning a wonderful event. It truly was a floral day!!

Interested in more golf before ending the season? Here is the schedule: October 8th-Wednesday Tournament play (pick your own partner); October 15th-Wednesday Tournament play; October 22nd-Closing Day Scramble including both nine and eighteen holers (luncheon/general meeting after).

Ryan Reeves
DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE
With the leaves changing and the temperatures getting cooler, I’m excited for all the seasonal comfort this time of year brings. Our culinary team and Chef have been hard at work on a new menu that was released last week. There are 24 new items on the menu, each signified by a green label, so you know what to look for. Keep an eye out for our one-byte videos, which will feature our employees sharing their honest opinions on new dishes at the Pub and Bistro.
We are extremely excited for our fall gala this year, an Orient-inspired celebration. Join us for an unforgettable evening a Fall Formal inspired by the elegance and richness of Asian traditions. The night will feature DJ music, live cigar rolling, and themed dinner stations highlighting flavors from across Asia.
Enjoy curated spirits tastings as you move through the evening, and encounter treasures unveiled throughout the night, adding elements of surprise and delight to this extraordinary celebration. We will be sending out the menu soon so you can know exactly what the fare will be.
This is also the season when we have many opportunities to spend quality time with our little ones at Laurel Creek. This Saturday, we’ll host our Build a Buddy Brunch in the ballroom. Enjoy a delicious breakfast with your child or grandchild while building memories, stuffing your very own bear and sealing it up together. Spots are still available, so be sure to sign up!
We also have a similar event coming up in November called Peter Rabbit Tea. This will be an elegant tea service with traditional tea sandwiches for adults and kid-friendly sandwiches and desserts as well. Along with the meal, every child will receive a stuffed rabbit, and there will be fun activities around the room to match the theme.
Halloween is right around the corner. This celebration is our largest member event of the year, where you can bring guests to enjoy a fun-filled evening of rides, entertainment, and treats. Our golf staff is hard at work planning a spooky haunted house maze in the cart barn. If that’s too scary for you, our own John Slade will be offering hayrides around the property for the little ones. Please dress your family in your favorite costumes or come in your country club attire.
Thank you for being a valued part of our Laurel Creek community. We can’t wait to enjoy these upcoming events together.

DIRECTOR OF GOLF COURSE OPERATIONS
With damp, dreary conditions last Thursday, we chose to move the practice tee hitting from grass to the mats for the day. If some question whether this was necessary or not--and one person clearly did--a quick look at this picture may explain why we made the call:

We had aerified and overseeded the tees on Monday, and as you can see, whoever opted not to stay on the mats, caused as much damage from their feet as they did with their club.
While we may not always get things right, there is generally a sound basis for the decisions the Pro Shop and Grounds staff make when it comes to protecting the golf course.
