n this article, we’ll take you through the step by step process for how to laminate eyebrows professionally - and the reasons why pro is the way to go! What is Brow Lamination? Brow lamination is a beauty treatment that shapes and adds definition to your brows, providing a fluffier, fuller, more even look, hiding gaps and giving the illusion of major hair growth. It involves the application of different solutions - one to break down the protein bonds in the hair, making eyebrow hairs more malleable, and another to set them into their new on-trend shape. It’s also a popular treatment for men as it’s the ideal way to groom long, messy, curly brow hair into a smart and stylish shape. Brow tints and nourishing treatments may be included or added to the service to give gorgeous color and ensure brow hairs are nourished, glossy and healthy. Technicians may also tidy up the brow area with lash tweezers etc for as polished a finish as possible. Sometimes referred to as a brow lift, brow lamination lasts around 4 to 6 weeks. How to laminate your brows We’re experts at lash and brow treatments here at Flawless Lashes, so we’ve broken the brow lift process down into ten easy steps. Stick with our advice and you can’t go wrong.

Step 1 - Have a chat with your client The most important step of eyebrow lamination doesn’t even involve any product! Before you even THINK about laminating your client’s eyebrows, sit down and have a chat with them. You need to learn about what brow styling they want, what their skin type is, what allergies they may have. Always make sure to do a patch test a minimum of 24 hours before the treatment to find out if the client is sensitive to any products involved in the treatment. Step 2 - Clean the brow area Before you apply any product, you need to make sure that you clean the area using foam cleanser. It’s always best to start with a blank canvas before you get started on a work of art! Step 3 - Apply lash and brow lift lotion no 1 Now you’re prepped and ready to go, we can get started! First, we apply the Lash and Brow Lift Lotion No 1. This serum cleverly opens the brow hair cuticles, making them more malleable and much easier to brush into the position you want. How long to leave it on for depends on the client as each person's brow hair is different and it’s vital to get it right for optimal results. Lotion 1 timings are explained and taught at our online brow lamination training courses. Step 4 - Let it do its thing Make sure to cover with Brow Film Wrap and let the lotion work its magic. Leave on for 9-14 minutes depending on the thickness of the hairs, and then remove with a dry cotton bud or sponge applicator.

Step 5 - Shape the brow Next, shape the eyebrow with a mascara brush or spoolie into whatever style your client would like. Read our blog post about laminated brows for some pro styling advice. The ‘brushed-up’ look is currently the most sought after shaping. Step 6 - Apply lash and brow lift lotion no 2 You know the drill! Apply the Lash and Brow Lift Lotion No 2, wrap it up, let it process and wipe off with dry cotton bud or sponge applicators when done. This lotion allows you to fix the eyebrow hair into the desired position and shape. Step 7 - (Optional) Tint If your client is seeking darker brows too, now it’s time to do a tint. Oxidant and different tint shades are available from the Flawless tint collection. Alternatively, use Flawless Keratin Tint Treatment, a time saving new treatment that includes tint, oxidant and nourishing keratin treatment in one. If you use this, you can skip the next step - clever you! Step 8 - Nourish the brow hair Not every lash artist will include this step but the Flawless experts recommend a nourishing keratin treatment as part of the brow lamination process, for healthier, glossier brows. Flawless Lash Plump is our conditioning blend of keratin, proteins, vitamins and natural oils. Leave on brows 2-4 minutes then remove as per instructions.
