Argentina se encuentra ubicada entre las veinte naciones del mundo que lideran el ranking internacional de turismo de reuniones, con ingresos anuales que superan con creces los 1.000 millones de dólares. Dos de cada diez visitantes extranjeros llegan al país para participar de actividades relacionadas con este rubro, en alguno de los 275 destinos que integran el segmento. En ese escenario, La Rural -espacio emblemático del turismo de reuniones- ocupa un lugar sumamente destacado. En cada edición de la Feria Internacional de Turismo, pero también en otras muchas ocasiones, el predio de Palermo es un aliado fundamental para que los principales actores del segmento sincronicen los esfuerzos que impulsen su crecimiento. Bienvenida la hora de hacer memoria y analizar el balance de las acciones con las que todos los argentinos tenemos que contribuir para que nuestro país afiance su rol protagónico en la región y en el mundo.
Argentina is amongst the leading twenty nations in MICE tourism, with an annual income of over 1 billion dollars. Two out of ten foreign visitors arrive in our country to partake in activities of this sector, in one of the 275 destinations that are part of this segment. Within this context, La Rural —a true beacon of MICE tourism— occupies a prominent position. Every year, at the International Tourism Fair (FIT) and other events, this venue —located in the Palermo district— becomes an essential partner for all stakeholders of the segment to synchronize efforts and further growth. It is always a good occasion to look back and analyze the actions we Argentines have contributed with to help our country strengthen its leading position in the region and the world.
