THE SUMMER IS FLYING BY!

It feels unreal that we are heading into the last week of sailing! The sailing staff has had such an awesome summer out on the water with everyone. Excited to end off this summer with another four amazing days out on the water next week, and hope you enjoy this recap of the second to last week. As always, if you have any questions or concerns about the coming week, please do not hesitate to reach out.
THE WEEK AHEAD
Just as a reminder, Camp High Tide will not be running next week so if your sailor usually attends camp please arrange a way for them to get picked up after sailing In addition, Thursday August 10th at 6:30pm is our annual awards dinner and will be our last day of sailing for the season (there is no sailing on Friday, August 11th).

OPTIS

This week our Opti Ones worked on sailing a hotdog course. This put them out of their comfort zone, requiring them to jibe around a mark, but they did an awesome job controlling their tiller movement and getting their sail over! This week our Opti Twos set sail to explore different parts of the Sound. They sailed east past LYC and then west towards Huckleberry Island.
LASERS
Our laser sailor hiked hard in some bigger breeze this week! He also did a long distance sail towards execution.

FEVAS
Our AM fevas worked on some upwind sailing and did some distance sails during the week. With some great wind, they go to do some hiking and try to raise the spinnaker. Our PM fevas also did some long distance sailing and explored the lazy river!
