May 2025 | news and notes

A letter from the General Manager

As the calendar turns to May, the vibrant energy of the warmer weather is truly herethe days are getting longer, the air is milder, and the grounds at LSC are coming alive with the promise of a fantastic season.

We're thrilled to welcome back the joys of outdoor activities and the relaxed atmosphere that this time of year brings. Whether you're looking forward to dipping your feet in the sand, jumping into the pool, perfecting your serve on the tennis courts, watching your children enjoy Camp High Tide or Junior Sailing or the Swim and Dive Team, or simply unwinding with friends, the Club offers the perfect setting to make the most of these beautiful months.

Our team has been hard at work preparing the club to ensure your experience is nothing short of exceptional. You'll notice that the pool, which was fully drained in April, has been acid washed (for the first time since 2010) Additionally several mechanical components of the pool have been replaced. These improvements will result in a consistently enjoyable experience for our members at the pool

I encourage you to explore all that LSC has to offer this season; including the once-in-alifetime things planned for the Centennial that we can't wait to share with you!

I look forward to seeing you around the club, enjoying the sunshine and the wonderful camaraderie of our community.

-Benny Vanhulle
