WHAT AN AMAZING WEEK!
This second week has flown by! We had a shorter week due to the 4th of July but still made the most of the 4 awesome days we had of sailing, with way better weather than the first week. Enjoy this recap of the week, and as always feel free to send us an email if you have any questions or concerns in regards to the coming weeks.
THE WEEK AHEAD
We have our annual Sailing BBQ on July 13th at 6:30pm Please be sure to make a reservation with the front desk if you plan on attending. In addition, we have pirate day on July 14th, please have your sailor dress in their best pirate attire!

Our AM fevas doing some

OPTIS
Our Opti 1s got all out on the water with sails up! With some no breeze days earlier in the week, they took the opportunity to do some swimming, but by Friday they all set sail off the dock with perfect weather. Our Opti 2s played battleship on the no wind days, but were able to get out sailing during the breeze on Friday. They worked on sailing a course and points of sail.
FEVAS
Our morning Feva group did some long distance sailing throughout the week, and all got to swim during the light wind days. They also got towed around and capsized on the super warm days. The afternoon fevas split into two groups so some could start to learn how to race and prepare for an upcoming regatta. Those who were interested in racing did some practice races with Echo Bay and Horseshoe Harbor sailors, while others did some long distance sailing.
LASERS
Our laser sailor did some racing practice against an Echo Bay laser. He did an awesome job making the transition from lighter breeze days to some heavy wind on Friday.
