Tannberg-Themenweg In der landschaftlich reizvollen Erlebnisregion Tannberg dringt ein Themenweg tief in die Geschichte der Walsergemeinden Warth, Schröcken und Lech ein. 57 Stationen machen Schauplätze uralter Walser Sagen, 700 Jahre alte Häuser und andere kulturelle Besonderheiten dieser Volksgruppe sichtbar. Geübte Wanderer benötigen für den gesamten Themenweg zwei Tage, auch kürzere und geführte Wanderungen sind möglich.
engl. ⁄ Hiking is a modern pastime: leave you daily routine behind and get out into nature. The more intense, the better. All these desires are covered by the new ‘Lechweg’ (‘Lech path’). The certified long distance hiking route guarantees an extraordinary nature- and culture experience. In summer 2012 Lechweg was opened to everyone who is interested in pristine nature. The challenging route which is about 125 km long leads you from the river’s source near Formarinsee through the nature park region Lechtal-Reutte to Lechfall in Füssen in the Allgäu-region. Along the cross-border route hikers may encounter Europe’s biggest colony of ibexes, Austria’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge, natural floodplains, woods, waterfalls and royal palaces as well as traditions and history from three different regions and two countries. Especially the Lech’s wild river scenery, amongst the last of its kind in Europe, fascinates hikers from all over the world. The village Lech is an ideal starting point for the tour, from there you can take a bus to Formarinsee. Then the route leads you back towards Lech on an easy 14 km mountain trail. During the approximate 5 hours walk time you’ll see the idyllic Formarin alp, the ibex-monument and Zug. A Kneipp-facility by the path is just the right thing for tired legs and the numerous possible resting places along the beautiful trail are ideal to lend strength to body and soul.
