Dear Members of the Lakehill Community,

We are deeply grateful for our trustees, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends who make Lakehill a priority and generously give their time and resources. The 2021-2022 school year was filled with an abundance of accomplishments as we worked together in support of the Lakehill mission.

Highlights include:

• More than 600 members of the Lakehill community celebrated the arrival of Mr. Art Hall as our Head of School over the course of the year through various divisional meet and greet opportunities.

• The Lakehill Parent Faculty Club hosted the auction to celebrate the school’s 50th Anniversary in support of the commitments toward realizing the school’s vision. The auction exceeded its goal, raising over $220,000.

• Trek-for Tech brought our Lakehill community closer together for an all-out one-mile fun run and 5K. Our Lakehill Trek-for-Tech runners raised over $43,500 for technology upgrades across the school.

• For the first time in over a year, grandparents were able to visit campus for Grandparents Day as they watched our beloved students take the stage for a performance directed by the Arts Department.

Last year was a huge success!

For the 2022-2023 school year, our Warrior Fund theme is Inspiring Impact. Inspiring Impact at Lakehill Preparatory School highlights the transformational and cross-curricular student learning that happens in the classroom and beyond; it speaks to the innovative practices crafted by faculty who deliver transferable educational foundations in the classroom to support lifelong learning; it honors the commitment of our Lakehill parents, grandparents, and friends of the school who volunteer and support our community. It recognizes our alumni as leaders in their fields. At Lakehill, we will continue to inspire impact.

Your gifts lay the foundation for Lakehill’s academic programs, financial aid, facilities, and faculty support. Through the Warrior Fund, which provides nearly 5% of the school’s annual budget, you impact every student, faculty member, and staff. Your gift solidifies the school’s commitment to academic excellence and school programs while strengthening our ability to retain the most talented faculty and staff.

We understand that parents make a major financial commitment by paying tuition. However, educating each Lakehill student costs more than tuition alone can cover. Lakehill’s endowment makes up part of the balance, but additional support is still needed from parents, alumni, faculty and staff, and friends of the school. Unrestricted gifts to the Warrior Fund go directly into the operating budget, helping to fill that gap.

Participation is widely viewed as a measure of approval of the school’s mission, direction, and core values. Outside organizations, including foundations, view participation as one measure of the overall strength of the school. When parents make a gift, they demonstrate their belief in the power and significance of a Lakehill education.
