LCA must be listed as “Additional Insured” on ATV and Snowmobile Insurance Policies By Donna Beyer, Communications Director

Many Members have expressed frustration in regards to LCA’s requirement for ATV’s and Snowmobiles to list Lake Carroll Association as “additional insured” on their insurance policy(ies). This is a requirement by LCA’s insurance carrier and has been in effect since February 2003 [53.02 (C)(2)(b) & 53.03 (C)(3)]. It allows ATV’s & Snowmobiles to travel LC’s roadways the shortest distance from their home and the trail system. Some say, “I’ve never had to have this before!” That may be true; however, it doesn’t make it correct. Our staff is making efforts to keep all Members in compliance with our Rules and Regulations. Please don’t give them grief for enforcing the Rules and Regulations that you agreed to abide by in purchasing property at Lake Carroll. Becoming angry with staff will not change the Rules. So what’s the answer to ensure there are no hiccups in registering your recreational vehicles? LCWC Members gather for the April meeting. Page 14A

1. Be sure all your required information is current (insurance, State registrations). When it’s not current, you cannot receive your decals, and that means someone may be disappointed. In processing Information Sheets, the staff will provide you with a sheet that will note what information is missing. It really is simple, provide the missing information prior to trying to register, or at the very least, bring it with you to the Admin Office for registration. If you’re coming on a Saturday, most insurance offices are not open to provide updates, so please plan ahead. 2. You can call the Admin Office to ask if they have everything they need so your registration goes smoothly. The Lake Carroll Admin Office is open Monday through Saturday, 8am-4:30pm. Please plan ahead so your decals can be ready for you. Unless prior arrangements have been made, it is recommended to arrive at the Admin Office no later than 4:15pm to allow enough time to process your registration(s). Thank you for your attention to this important issue.

Known as Uncle Lar’, Larry Reeb is the wise-cracking black sheep, politically incorrect relative everyone knows. Like any concerned relative Uncle Lar’ wants to help. So in his own twisted way he does. He gives you “tips”. Uncle Lar’ offers tips on everything from marriage to lotteries to children. Larry has been voted Chicago Comedian of the Year, and has made numerous television and radio appearances. His tips are tops. His inflections infectious. And the fans are fanatics. Reeb’s followers can’t get enough. Whether he’s headlining comedy clubs, colleges or conventions, his wit is universally appealing. Relatively speaking, everyone travels from everywhere to see their Uncle Lar’.
