Please review the following information and complete the required documents in your ADP Portal so that you are prepared for your first day. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of our Employee Experience Team (EE@hayden-homes.com).
On your first day, we will be reviewing our policies and benefits in more detail. Benefits are an important part of your total rewards package, and we want our team members and their family members to have a thorough understanding of our benefit offerings. If there is a spouse, partner or family member you would like to include in our benefits discussion on your first day please let us know and we will gladly set up a conference call.
It all started in 1989, when Robert Watson and his wife Virginia moved to Redmond, a small town of 3,700 people in rural Central Oregon. Armed with years of experience in both land development and real estate finance, Bob quickly became an active member of the community. It wasn’t long before the Mayor of Redmond approached Bob about building homes that hardworking families could afford to foster growth in this small city; Hayden Homes was born.
A few years later, after graduating from college, Bob’s son Hayden Watson and Hayden’s high school friend Dennis Murphy joined him as apprentices. Working side by side with Bob to learn the business eventually led these two men to earn the primary leadership positions in the company. Hayden Watson now serves as owner, and Chairman. Dennis Murphy serves as our CEO, and Steve Klingman serves as our President.
Today, we honor Bob and Virginia’s spirit of generosity through our actions and Give As You Go™ philosophy.

Hayden’s mother, Virginia, did more than help found our company: she found the spirit of generosity in everyone she met. She knew a kind smile could be kind of a big deal. A shoulder to lean on was stronger than any 2x4. And that leading by example was the greatest gift of all. For over 30 years, we’ve partnered with nonprofits, provided the dream of homeownership to deserving families, and empowered every team member to be the next generation of givers. We call it Give As You Go. And it turns out Virginia was right. The more we give, the more grateful we are.

The History of Hayden Homes
1989 founded in Redmond, Oregon by Bob and Virginia Watson.
The nonprofit Hayden Giving Fund, now known as First Story, was established for Hayden Homes to share homeownership with deserving families.
Hayden Homes celebrates 20 years and begins building in Idaho. Simplicity by Hayden Homes is founded.

Before Your First Day
Completing your onboarding documents:
You will receive a notification to login to ADP, where you can expect to complete the following:
• Tax Information for Federal and State if applicable
• Direct Deposit instructions
• Company Policies
• Requests for I-9 documentation
•The required documentation needed for your I-9 form is listed here. Please provide either one item from List A or one item from List B and List C.
Here are a few documents we want to make sure you have access to ahead of time:
• Team Member Handbook
• Harassment & Discrimination Policy (watch required video here)
Our company uses ADP to manage pay, benefits, contact information and more. Prior to your first day, a link will be sent to you via email from noreply@adp.com with your onboarding documents. All of these documents can be completed digitally and we ask that you do so before your first day.

When you meet with our Employee Experience team, you will have the opportunity to further discuss your benefits selections to learn more before completing your medical, dental, and life insurance elections in ADP. Following your first day, you will also receive instructions on how to participate in our 401(k) retirement plan with Vanguard.
How to Prepare For Your First Day
Arrival Time
Most of our team members begin their first day at 8:30am. You will receive a tentative first day schedule and email that will confirm the time you are expected to arrive on site.

If you are not located at the Support Center, your supervisor will reach out to you with information on where you should meet in your region.
Attire
Please review the Hayden Homes Dress Code Standards, and dress accordingly for your position. If you have questions about the dress code and appropriate attire, please reach out to a member of the Employee Experience Team (EE@hayden-homes.com).
What to Expect of Your First Day
Meeting with Employee Experience
On your first day, you will be scheduled to meet with a member of our Employee Experience team. If located in Central Oregon, this meeting will be done in person. If located in another region, this meeting will be conducted over video conference. During this meeting, Employee Experience will provide an overview of our policies, benefits, and other important company information.
Meeting with Technology
You will meet with a member of our Technology team to get set up with all of the appropriate equipment and software.
Meeting Your Team
Throughout the day, your supervisor or another team member will be introducing you to the other members of your team.
