Our experienced consultants provide information, advice and networking opportunities across all sectors and industries – supporting everyone from artists to start-ups. About Get started!
With a series of online and offline events in cooperation with touring artists, we offer insights on various topics that are important for your start into self-employment in the arts and creative industries in Germany. In addition, we would like to give you tips, good practice examples and connect you with other artists and creative professionals in Berlin.
--> The events are held in English. All seminars will take place online; the networking events, however, will be on site at Podewil | Klosterstraße 68, 10179 Berlin.
--> The participation is free of charge, but a registration is obligatory because of limited capacities.
--> Podewil is partly barrier-free: wheelchair access is available via ramp and elevator as well as door assistance and barrier-free restrooms. If you have any questions, please contact us at Tel 030 247 49-778. The subway station Klosterstraße, which is located directly in front of our location Podewil, has an elevator.

In this event we will talk to Berlin-based artists from various fields about their experiences and beginnings into selfemployment. The focus of the panel discussion will be networking. What is important to keep in mind when networking? How do I find access to certain networks in the first place? We will exchange ideas and present good practice examples. Moreover, you’ll get the opportunity to ask questions and connect with others.

Health and social insurance basics

You don’t understand the different categories of the German health and social insurance system and are unsure about what to look out for? In this seminar we will give you an overview of multiple options as well as a first overview of the framework conditions of Künstlersozialkasse (KSK).
