In general, drowsiness is feeling the need to sleep, while fatigue is a lack of energy and motivation. Drowsiness and apathy (a feeling of indifference or not caring about what happens) can be symptoms that go along with fatigue. Fatigue can be a normal response to physical and emotional stress, boredom, or lack of sleep. However, it can also be a nonspecific sign of a more serious psychological or physical disorder. According to medical findings, fatigue is a common symptom, and is usually not due to a serious disease. So don’t panic. If you have the syndrome, go to see your doctor. Tell the doctor the pattern of your fatigue. It may help your doctor determine its underlying cause (say, an underactive thyroid). By the way, if you wake up with a low level of energy and have fatigue that lasts throughout the day, you may be depressed. In medical term, Chronic fatigue syndrome is a condition of prolonged and severe tiredness or weariness (fatigue) that is not relieved by rest and is not directly caused by other conditions. To be diagnosed with this condition, your tiredness must be severe enough to decrease your ability to participate in ordinary activities
by 50%. To be diagnosed as CFS, there are two conditions: 1. Fatigue or tiredness, never experienced to this extent before (new onset), lasting at least 6 months and not relieved by bed rest 2. Officials of Qatar’s human rights body visited the Philippines to assure overseas Filipino workers (OFW) that the Middle East country is stepping up efforts to safeguard their welfare. An official of Qatar’s National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) said they have been touring countries sending their labor force to Qatar to explain available remedies in cases of labor-related problems of migrant workers. According to the head of the NHRC’s legal department, there are bodies in Qatar that will accept OFWs’ complaints but most workers don’t know that the said committee exists. He also mentioned that the committee was created to protect and promote human rights in the country including those of migrant workers. It was revealed by the Center for Migrant Advocacy (CMA) that the Philippine Embassy and the labor office in Qatar recorded some 1,800 cases of distressed OFWs, about 460 cases of runaway workers, and over 800 repatriated Filipinos during the first semester of 2008.
In 2009, Qatar has recorded more than 1,200 complaints from migrant workers of all nationalities. During the visit of Qatar officials, participants in the discussion gave suggestions to enhance labor relations between Qatar and the Philippines. One suggestion is to beef up the labor office there, which currently has only four employees serving about 200,000 migrant Filipinos. Another is to deploy a human rights attaché in all Philippine posts around the world. The OWWA was also urged to improve the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar it gives to outbound workers, to include their families as participants and former OFWs as speakers. Records from the POEA show Qatar ranks fourth among the top destinations of land-based OFW, with almost 90,000 OFWs deployed there in 2009. Of the figure, over 6,000 work as household service workers.

And what about the victims? Will they ever cast their shadow inside a church building? Will they ever trust their leaders? And what about church leaders who see their congregation as a sure source of clientele and workforce in their multi-level networks? Have you heard of one “religious group” who passes the offering plate 5 times during church services? Can you blame those who have given up on the church, who see church people as bigots, hypocrites, and scammers? These are terrible things to write about. We write with a heavy heart, but we do anyway, because we want you to know that despite all these terrible things said about the church, God has not given up on the church. It is his church. COMPASSIONATE GOSSIP Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29 The action of gossip To gossip is to speak in a way which raises questions or doubts about another or their character. Gossip is conversation behind someone’s back, which puts them in bad light. (Such discussion is only appropriate when engaged in by individuals involved in church discipline.) The motivation for gossip Compassion or sincere concern is no excuse for gossip. No matter how pure or innocent the motive, raising questions about another still damages their reputation, ie: “I’m concerned for `So and So’ because …” “I’d like to pray for `So and So’, because they’ve …” “What did you think about what So

The facts spoken may be true and the speaker may be motivated out of concern, but if the one spoken about would not appreciate the conversation, it is gossip.
