2 phil news Doctors warned gifts from milk manufacturers The Department of Health (DoH) warned physicians against accepting gifts from manufacturers of breastmilk and accepting samples of non-human milk or similar products and giving out samples to pregnant women, mothers and members of families. According to DOH, this manner violates EO 51 or the Milk Code of the Philippines. DoH officials released a set of guidelines and a list of responsibilities for physicians in accordance with the law. It was also reported that the DoH also prohibits doctors to display, promote or distribute non-human milk and other breastmilk substitutes in their offices or clinics. The health chief advised doctors to counsel pregnant women on the merits of breastfeeding beginning on their first visit to the clinic and every visit afterwards. It was also advised that doctors should prescribe non-human milk only when there are valid
medical reasons and with information on the inherent hazards and risks of non-human milk. Physicians were also tasked to strongly promote the adoption of essential newborn care, roomingin and breastfeeding standards as mandated by law.

IBONG ADARNA IN GERMANY Mary Anne Santamaria-Strobel is Filipina ballet dancer who now lives in Neuburg, Germany. Recently, she choreographed and produced the ballet “Adarna, der Zaubervogel” (Adarna, the Magical Bird) at the Stadttheater Neuburg. It is an adaptation of the Philippine legend “Ang Ibong Adarna.” Strobel choreographed the dances for her ballet students who are from 6 to 50 years old. She sourced the music from various classical compositions by Weber, Mozart, Debussy, Gottschalk, Brahms, Khachaturian. Mary Anne also designed and sewed most of the 280 costumes for this ballet, and also painted most of the pictures used for the power point presentation backdrop. Mary Anne used to be a
student of Tita Radaic at the Royal Academy of Dance in St. Theresa’s College, Quezon City. She later became a soloist of Dance Theater Philippines under Steve Villarruz. She has been a ballet teacher in Volkshochschule Neuburg in Germany for eight years. Two years ago she produced and choreographed “Das Geschenk” (The Gift) in which she showcased dances from several parts of the world, including the Philippines’ Pandanggo sa Ilaw.

Pero after na gumamit ako ng RICA Omega 3 marami akong napansing pagbabago sa aking health una, hindi naging madalas ang aking pag-ubo, pangalawa malakas na ang aking katawan kahit mahigit 50 na ako at kagagaling ko lang sa duktor at confirm na totally wala na ang myoma ko kaya lubos akong nagpapasalamat sa RICA.
