Your Next Seven Posts

It can be hard to get going… I’ve been there! Use these templates to get some ideas together for your next (or first!) seven IG posts!

DAY 1:

INTRODUCE YOURSELF

• Picture: You! (the business owner) • Caption: Introduce yourself and the company. Try something like this – fill in the blanks and swap out words that feel more like you! “Hey everyone,

I’m new here so I thought I’d take a minute to introduce myself! I’m ____, and I’m the owner of ____ in [your town and state]. My business started ____ years ago because ______. When I’m not out on the job, I like to spend my time ____, ____, and __. I’m excited to meet you. Drop a comment below and say hi!”

DAY 2:

WHERE YOU WORK

• Picture: Your storefront / office / location / pic of your town • Caption: Describe where you’re located and what you love about your town.

List other towns or locations that you serve. End with something like “Your turn... Comment below with your hometown!”

DAY 3:

WHAT YOU DO

• Picture: Your products or services • Caption: List and describe your services and/or products. What is unique about the way you do things? What makes your business stand out? End the post with directing your audience to click the link in your bio for more information. (And make sure your link in bio sends followers to your website!)

DAY 4:

TIPS & TRICKS

• Picture: An industry related photo (Think a workout picture for fitness, or a hairstyle for beauty.) • Caption: Educate your followers with a tip or trick that deals with your business. Do you know a short cut or better way to do something?

DAY 5:

STAFF/TEAM MEMBER

• Picture: A person on your team • Caption: Introduce another one of your team members. Share what they do and an interesting fact about them. Are you a solopreneur? Feature your pet, roommate, or family member instead.

DAY 6:

BEFORE AND AFTER

• Picture: Your products or services • Caption: Use a carousel post to show a before and after. Are you a carpenter? Show how the scene looked before you started, and then reveal the finished project you completed. Fitness coach? Post a client’s photo at the beginning of training with you and then after weight-loss.

DAY 7:

PROMOTION

• Picture: You with your product or service • Caption: Inform your followers of a current sale or promotion. Include details on where, when, and how they can take advantage of the discount or offering.
