CHURCH INFO New Hope Presbyterian Church Blessing of the Animals
Pets and their people are invited to the Blessing of the Animals at New Hope Presbyterian Church, which is located at 1350 North Mason Road, Katy, TX 77449. It is scheduled for Saturday, October 6, 2012. This service celebrates the important place that pets hold in our lives, reminding us of the wonder of God’s creation and our role as stewards of the earth and all of its creatures. The service begins with a procession of the animals and ends with an opportunity for each pet to receive an individual blessing. All pets should be held, caged or on leashes and all children with pets must be accompanied by an adult. Children may bring stuffed animals. Those whose pets do not travel well or do not get along well with other animals are asked to bring a photo of those pets. For more information, you can contact the church office at 281-492-8520.
St. Cuthbert Episcopal Church Blessing of the Animals
St. Cuthbert is inviting all people and their pets to the Blessing of the Animals in celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi on Saturday, October 6th, at 10:30 AM. This is a joyful and fun event, recognizing and honoring the great bond and relationship between pets and their owners. Animals must be suitably restrained on a leash or in a cage.
