Developing People of Good Character

Developing During the early years, students learn to approach life with curiosity, confidence, persistence, and imagination. By the time they reach Years 3 and 4 their independence of mind and actions stretches them to try new things and learn to express their emotions appropriately. In People of Years 5 and 6, they gain leadership skills through the school values of courage, respect, integrity and service. When students step up to Year 7, the emphasis Good Character shifts to relationships, connections and kindness. During the Cripps years students learn negotiation, teamwork and self-advocacy, and identify their personal character strengths.

In my early days at Korowa, the first question empathy and an appreciation of service to others. parents asked was about VCE results and Year 10 students explore their futures through subject academic achievements. Developing People of Good Character Korowa students do achieve excellence, and along their pathway develop a host of skills that cannot be learned from a textbook.
