I’ve been at Korowa since Year 6 and I’ve always really loved the inclusive atmosphere in all the different year levels and Houses. But something I would love to do is further that bond throughout the school and between the varying year levels, whether this be through special new days, buddy programs and collaborating more with the Junior School. I believe that this is really important, especially right now, because of the physical barrier that has separated us last year.

What I think Korowa needs right now is a celebration, a celebration of people’s success, kindness and differences. Whether this be through learning about different cultures and having time to celebrate how amazing and unique everyone is, giving out lifesaver awards or congratulating people for what they have achieved in sporting, music, academics or anything really.

I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity to serve this school with Annai and I am so excited for the year to come!

Having the opportunity to serve the school as School Co- Captain provides me with an opportunity to give back to a community I’ve been so lucky to be a part of for 15 years.

My main goal for 2021 is to bring back the fun that we’ve missed and the life back into the corridors. I think we can achieve this by bringing all departments of the school together and celebrating everyone’s achievements equally, whether that be for music, sport, drama, art or academics. I also hope to continue the happy energy you feel as you walk around the school. I would love to bring back the music on a Friday afternoon to send everyone off into the weekend with a big smile and a bit of a boogie. Little things like this, I believe, will build the morale within the school that we have missed due to the lockdowns.

I can’t wait to work with Tilly and bring to life all her ideas. This year will be different, and I can’t wait to get started!
