Kellie Lyneham
At the end of 2020, we farewelled Kellie Lyneham, our Deputy Principal, Student Wellbeing. During the past 6 years, Kellie has been committed to enhancing the academic care and wellbeing of all our students. Korowa has benefitted enormously from Kellie’s calm and considered leadership and the many programs and opportunities she has provided for students to feel connected through a strong sense of identity and purpose. Kellie was instrumental in leading our first Service Learning Journey to Cambodia and in designing programs to embed a service culture in all we do at Korowa. Kellie has many talents and she will always be remembered for her superior organisational skills, but especially for her flawless calisthenics routine performed at assembly to raise funds for the Cambodian Children’s Fund! Kellie has furthered the many traditions of Korowa and she has been key to overseeing the complexities of school operations that provide a safe and welcoming environment for all. Under Kellie’s leadership Speech Night and the Year 12 Graduation Tulip Assembly have taken on a whole new character of ritual and celebration, cementing many traditions that will last well into the future. Over recent years, schools have had to respond to an array of legislative and compliance requirements, especially in relation to child safe standards. This has resulted in a wide-ranging review and many new policies and protocols to keep our students safe. Kellie led this work with the School Executive to ensure that Korowa, routinely meets all our requirements for school registration and compliance. Kellie has lived the core values of Korowa and led by example, with an outstanding commitment to putting our girls and Korowa first. We are grateful for all that she has contributed. Kellie is universally admired for her kind and caring nature as well as her generous spirit. We congratulate Kellie on her appointment as Head of Senior School at Carey Baptist Grammar School, commencing in 2021. Whilst we were sorry to see Kellie leave Korowa, we celebrate her career opportunity and wish her all the best for the future.
