he much anticipated 2017 Milton Film Festival is just around the corner! The Mattamy Theatre, located at the Milton Centre for the Arts is ready for movie buffs to take in some of this years most exciting local, Canadian and international films.

In addition to critically acclaimed feature films from Canada and around the world, the Festival will be showing a selection of short films by local and regional film makers. For those of you who love TIFF but hate the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoy some of the same films from the big event in your own town!

Clean your drains!

Clear out the build-up of sludge and hair in your bathroom drains by using a plastic drain stick, available at your local hardware or dollar store. Once clear, pour a cup of bleach in the drain, allow it to sit for 5 minutes and then flush it with hot water.

Filters There are many appliances throughout your home that use filters and you may not even be aware! Consider replacing or cleaning filters in your humidifier, vacuum and, if you have an ice or water dispenser in your fridge, there will be one there too.

The Town of Milton has taken steps to pursue the application to construct a 3-storey office building with underground and surface parking in our beautiful Sunny Mount Park. In accordance with provisions of the Planning Act, notifications are only sent to homes within 120 meters of the property, a very small sample of those actually affected by the results of the development.

Residents living outside of this 120 meter area are able to voice their opinion in writing or in person too. To have your voice heard, submit it in writing (as per the attached letter below) to The Town. Be sure to follow the local HVOTP facebook page for updates as local residents within the affected area post notices when received.
