Khoon Kheng Teh (KK) is the Chief Operating Officer of Virtuals Protocol, an AI-blockchain company pioneering the development of agent-to-agent commerce ecosystems. The company is building a future where autonomous AI agents can transact and collaborate, unlocking new possibilities in the digital economy.
A PETRONAS scholar, KK studied at Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar from 2011 to 2013 before earning a Master of Engineering (First Class with Distinction) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
He began his career at PETRONAS, taking on diverse roles across the energy value chain —including solar power development, circular economy ventures, LNG trading optimization, and international LNG operations. He later joined McKinsey & Company, where he advised leading organisations across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe on business transformation, growth strategy, M&A, and operational excellence across industries such as semiconductors, logistics, healthcare, and private equity.
Throughout his journey, KK has remained committed to leadership and community. He served as Co-Director of Corporate Relations at the International Council of Malaysian Scholars and Associates (ICMS) and as a Director in the Alumni Network Council (ANC). He continues to mentor students and young professionals on university admissions, career development, and navigating their next chapter with confidence.
‘You are the Music Makers’ by the Head of Secondary, Sarah Chesworth
The Class of 2025 leaves KTJ not just with qualifications, but with a legacy of curiosity, courage, and creativity. Like the music makers and dreamers of dreams, you have shaped this community through their voices, their questions, and their quiet determination. You revised at Café Diem, led with purpose, ran with heart, sang with pride, and gave generously of yourselves — whether organising blood drives, exploring ideas with staff, or challenging us all to be better. You have left your mark not only in achievements, but in the spirit you’ve fostered: one of ambition, kindness, and endless possibility. Though you move on, your music continues — in every step you take from here.
I find myself very much in the same boat as you this year – preparing to say goodbye to KTJ! Like you, I felt the poignancy of each ‘the last time…’ getting sharper as each week slipped by: the last house event; the last time house quiz mastering; the last Sixth Form Committee organised party; the last assembly; the last enrichment speaker event and dinner; and the last prom.
With excitement, anticipation and some nervousness for future journeys, I am sure you departing students, like me, are starting to think about the new firsts that are emerging on the horizon. For you, the first night in a new educational environment, the first time meeting people who will become close friends over the next three or four years, maybe the first time living in a new country and continent with unfamiliar weather and food, and the first time studying subjects that you will come to love or maybe not so love, but certainly know and master over the next few years.
I hope we’ve helped to prepare you well and that you’ll thrive. I hope that you’ll be proud of yourself, KTJ and Malaysia and that you’ll fulfil all of the high hopes that we have for you. We’re so honoured that we could be part of this special and important chapter in your stories. Thank you for all of the uplifting, inspiring, funny and kind moments – being able to say that you genuinely admire your remarkable students is a precious gift for a teacher, and we all keenly feel this in the Sixth Form Team.
Don’t forget to join the KTJ Alumni (QR code below!). We’ve all been on an incredible journey together, and we don’t stop caring about each other just because we’re no longer in the same place. Look out for each other, take care of each other and most importantly,

K T J C l a s s o f 2 0 2 5 KTJ Class of 2025
Nearly a decade here yet still it is not enough.
Through every moment of happiness and every hardship, it was the people who kept me steady - like roots beneath a tree, anchoring me in this place we called home. The people I laughed with until my stomach hurt. The ones who knocked at my door at 12AM just to talk. The juniors, who clung to me, pretending they didn’t need to. The people who showed me love in all its quiet, ordinary ways - a saved seat, a shared meal, and a smile when I needed it most.
That love has left a permanent mark. KTJ didn’t just raise me, it held me. And now, with a heart heavier than expected, I struggle to say goodbye. To those of you reading this, I say, we have been given something rare - a version of love that doesn’t ask to be big, just real. Carry it with you, and spread it wherever you land next.
Being Head of Boarding has been such a privilege. I feel immensely lucky to have worked alongside those who challenged me and inspired me with great passion. But most of all, I am grateful to have given back to the school that shaped me into the person I am today.
Though leaving feels heavy, I am not sad. Rather, I am full. Full of the moments that gave me warmth and of the people that taught me how to love and care more. From the bottom of my heart, thank you KTJ. Home is like no other
Still holding on just a little, signing off,
Khayra Hazly
Head of Boarding, 2024–2025
To our KTJ family,
As we stand here on the final stretch of our Sixth Form journey, we find ourselves looking back with full hearts Many of us come from vastly different backgrounds, yet for the past two (or more) years, KTJ has been our home away from home Deep in a Negeri Sembilan jungle, we forged a tight-knit community full of vibrant personalities, passions and dreams, not unlike a truly great bowl of Rojak: colourful, unexpected and all the better for it.
Throughout our time as Head Prefects, we were constantly inspired by the spirit of KTJ It is a spirit that values both excellence and kindness It went beyond just titles and achievements; it was about learning how to lift others as we climbed, how to lead with empathy, integrity and mutual respect
We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in us, the support from our teachers, and the friendships from all of you that made every step worthwhile.
From Minju, to our fellow friends:
When I first arrived at KTJ nearly six years ago, everything felt unfamiliar - the heat, the food, the school slang I pretended to understand But somewhere between the dining hall debates, prefects duty, and midnight exam panics, this place gradually became home
Life here has been anything but quiet. It’s been loud, busy, occasionally chaotic, and always full of heart I’ve learned to thrive in motion: running between classes, Interact Club’s outreach projects and last minute preps, with just enough time to laugh in between.
To the teachers who guided us and the friends who shared moments like pre-assembly panics, group chats in the TV room that somehow turned into therapy sessions, running in the rain (the siren wasn’t on!) - thank you for being part f j
” more often Join that club, help your classmate finish the moments can become the most meaningful connections I e friends who’ll last a lifetime too!
It’s been an honour to serve you as Head Prefect. But more than any title, it’s our friendship and everyday memories I will cherish forever.
From Yijun, to our fellow friends:
These past few weeks have been particularly challenging for me, more so than exams - even P4! I’ve had to say countless goodbyes to lifelong friends and soak in my final moments at a place I’ve called home for almost seven years
If there’s any advice I could give, it’s this: treasure the ordinary moments going forward. It’s not just the big events that will stay with you. Whether we end up in London, New York or Tokyo, it’s the post-dinner walks at the waterfront and inside jokes that will linger with us
Also, be kind - to each other, and to the planet we all share. The world we are stepping into needs more compassion and more people who care deeply about the future they are shaping And just like the environment thrives because of its incredible diversity, our world needs all kinds of people to flourish I know that KTJ students will make that difference.

Thank you for letting me serve you as Head Prefect And I hope that whenever a certain Travis Scott song plays, you’ll think of me and all the unforgettable moments we shared together.
Reflecting on one of our favourite quotes from Ralph Waldo Emerson: "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us ”
Thank you, KTJ, for giving us a place to grow, stumble, learn and lead We may be turning the page, but KTJ will always be where our story began.
With all our gratitude and best wishes,
Minju & Yijun, Head Prefects 2024–2025
