Good evening!
It is a pleasure to welcome you all to this year's highly anticipated Primary School winter production - 'The Wizard of Oz'! We extend a particularly warm welcome this evening to our esteemed trustees, Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Naquiyuddin Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar and Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Dara Tunku Tan Sri Naquiah bt. Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar. We are delighted that they could join us tonight to share in this wonderful celebration of our students' talents.
The journey to the stage has been one of excitement and hard work! Our budding actors, singers, and performers have thrown themselves into rehearsals to prepare for this evening. We have been impressed by their skill, enthusiasm, and focus - from learning complex lines and tricky solos to mastering challenging stage directions. I am sure they will do us all proud this evening!
Of course, any school production is only possible through the time and efforts of those within our community A huge thank you goes to our hardworking staff - in particular Mr Liam, Ms Simy, Ms Anna Moss, and Ms Michelle - who have given countless hours to preparing tonight's performance. Similarly, I would also like to thank our parents for their support. I am sure you have spent many hours patiently helping children to learn lines at home - thank you! Sit back, relax, and prepare to be entertained!

We are delighted to welcome parents, families, and esteemed guests to our KS2 production of The Wizard of Oz. Thank you for joining us to celebrate the imagination, hard work, and remarkable talent of our students.
Over the last 12 months, the arts at KTJ have grown in confidence, ambition, and vibrancy. This year in particular, our students have truly taken our expressive arts slogan—“Be brave, create, innovate”—to heart. Watching them embrace this message and flourish as performers, designers, musicians, and imaginative thinkers has been an absolute joy.
A heartfelt thank-you must go to my co-directors Ms Anna Moss and Ms Simy for their time, energy, and endless enthusiasm in guiding our young cast. Their passion has shaped every moment of this production. We also extend warm thanks to Ms Amy, whose creativity and dedication—along with a committed group of students in her CCA—have brought our set to life.
We would also like to offer a big thank-you to Ms Michelle for her wonderful support with teaching the songs and for conducting the ensemble with such care and skill. A special thankyou, too, to Ms Brown, whose choreography has helped our students grow in confidence and bring each musical moment to life with energy and expression.
We are equally grateful to all staff who have contributed behind the scenes: those who built props and set pieces, managed lighting and sound, designed the programme, supported rehearsals, and offered helping hands whenever needed. This show is the result of a true team effort.
At its heart, The Wizard of Oz is a story about courage, friendship, and discovering the strength you’ve had all along—a perfect reflection of the journey our students have taken this year As Dorothy and her friends follow the Yellow Brick Road, our students have followed their own path: learning to trust themselves, take creative risks, collaborate, and shine.
Thank you once again to everyone involved, and to you—our audience—for supporting the expressive arts at KTJ. We hope you enjoy the show!
