KTJ provides high-quality day education for students in Early Years to Sixth Form. The day fees are inclusive of tuition and learning resources and most co-curricular activities. A morning snack and lunch are provided for all Primary students. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are available for all Secondary students. An annual residential trip for Years 3 to 10 is also included in the fees.

Fees for Boarding students
Boarding is a key feature of KTJ, and is undoubtedly one of the most rewarding aspects of school life. KTJ offers boarding for students in Year 7 to Sixth Form. The boarding fees are inclusive of tuition and learning resources, food and board (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and an evening meal), most co-curricular activities, laundry (with some restrictions) and an annual residential trip for Years 7 to 10.

Fee information
• After School Club: Available in Primary from 3.45pm to 6.00pm and includes activities, homework support and snacks. The cost is RM75 per day or RM1,815 for the term.
• Airport transfer: RM140 for students aged 16 and under, RM85 for students aged 17 and above (one way).
• Bus service: Our bus fees depend on your location. Please visit our website for more information. Fees must be paid in advance.
• Co-curricular activities: Specialists CCAs which require an external facilitator or transport incur an additional cost. Parents will be contacted for authorisation prior to sign-up. Fees for the term must be paid in advance.
• Daily boarding and mid-term boarding: RM190 per day.
• EAL and learning support: Please see the fees table overleaf.
• Examination fees: IGCSE, AS and A Level examination entry fees are recharged to parents. Enquiries about results (EAR), incur an additional fee.
• Guardian visa: A new application costs RM1,100 and a visa renewal costs RM880. Visa fees as charged by immigration, are recharged to the parent. The personal bond fee is subject to the immigration and refunded when the guardian visa is terminated.
• House fund: There is an additional charge of RM250 for day students and of RM500 for boarding students in the Secondary School to cover house activities (e.g. makans, house nights) and laundry (for boarding students).
• Insurance: Parents are expected to arrange medical insurance for their child/ren.
• Private music tuition: RM750 per term. Students will receive a minimum of eight 30-minute lessons per term. Fees must be paid in advance.
• Student visa: A new application costs RM500 and a visa renewal costs RM400.
• Study Skills Booklet: Every student new to the Secondary School receives a copy of a study skills booklet, which incurs a one-off charge of RM50.
Deposit
• The deposit is refunded with one term’s notice of withdrawal from KTJ. Failure to provide a full term’s notice will result in the refundable deposit being forfeited.
• Notice of withdrawal must be sent by email to principal@ktj.edu.my.
• The Primary deposit is equivalent to one term’s tuition fees in Early Years and RM13,000 for Years 1 - 6.

Fee information
• A 5% sibling discount is provided on net tuition fees for a third child enrolled in the School. Thereafter, a discount of 10% will be applied to the fouth, fifth and sixth child. The largest discount is applied to the youngest child.

• Fees are payable on a termly basis at the start of each term.
• Fees usually increase annually in August.
• A 3% administrative fee is added to all credit card payments. The School’s preferrred method of payment is direct bank transfer.

KTJ offers a competitive scholarship scheme which is open to both Malaysian and international students. Candidates can be new or existing students at KTJ, and scholarships are provided at the discretion of the Principal.
Sixth Form Academic Scholarship
• KTJ’s Sixth Form Academic Scholarship recognises students with outstanding academic ability and/or potential. Awards typically range from 10% to 75% reduction on tuition fees only
• Scholars are expected to maintain high academic standards throughout their time at KTJ and to participate fully in the academic enrichment programme.
• To be considered, students must have forecast/actual grades at IGCSE, SPM or equivalent of A or above in all subjects, and an excellent report/reference from their current school.
• Shortlisted candidates will firstly be invited to attend an in-person group workshop and interview at KTJ.
• We accept applications between 2nd November and 1st March. Outcomes are usually announced in April or May.
Golf and Squash Scholarships
• We offer scholarships to students with outstanding potential in golf or squash. Awards typically range from 10% to 75% reduction in tuition fees only.
• These scholarships are typically only offered in the Secondary School, however the School will consider awarding scholarships to students with an outstanding record in one of these sports who have applied for entry to the Primary School.
• Scholars are expected to contribute widely to the sports programme at KTJ and to demonstrate leadership in school sports.
• To be considered, students must have satisfactory reports/references from current school and success at a national level in the sport.
• Applications for Golf and Squash Scholarships are open throughout the year.

Expressive Arts Scholarships
• We offer scholarships to students in Years 9 to 12 who demonstrate outstanding potential and/or ability in Dance, Drama, or Music. Awards typically range from 10% to 75% reduction in tuition fees only
• Scholars are expected to contribute widely to the Expressive Arts life at KTJ and take a lead in the promotion of their specialism (Dance, Drama or Music).
• To be considered, students must have satisfactory reports/references from current school. Those students offering Music are expected to have reached Grade 5 standard or higher in one instrument. Singing is considered an instrument.
• We are partically eager to hear from vocalists, as well as players of lower strings (cello and double bass), woodwind (clarinet, oboe and bassoon), and brass (trumpet, French horn, trombone and tuba), as we aim to support a diverse range of musical voices and talents.
• Dance scholars are expected to choose to study IGCSE Dance. Drama and Music scholars are expected to study either IGCSE or A Level in their choosen subject.
• Expressive Arts Scholarships can be combined with other KTJ Scholarships.
• We accept applications for Expressive Arts Scholarships between 1st January and 1st April, and outcomes are usually announced in May.
