A night to remember for a dad and his son Uxbridge residents Dean Hirtle and his son Nick Hirtle also known around town as the "High Hoops guys" recently had a night that they will never forget at Fenway Park. Nick and his Dad spent Sunday night a few weeks ago sitting in the front row at game 2 of the ALCS. "What a great experience for Nick and I" said Dean. "We spent the

night in Boston and saw one of the greatest Red Sox comebacks in ALCS history. A night we will remember forever." Nick was given two tickets as a gift by a good friend and Coach of one of the High Hoops Basketball teams from the Hab. Coach Dave DeNorscia of Grafton wanted to show his apprecia-

tion for everything Nick has done for him and his Heat Basketball team. Nick is an Assistant Coach and volunteers his time coaching the grade school kids at the Hab in Uxbridge. The team wanted to thank Nick for everything he has done over the past few months, so two front row seats to the Red Sox game was what they gave

him. He was extremely excited after coach Dave and the kids brought everyone together at practice the night before the game and told him about the tickets. Nick couldn't wait to call his Dad and tell him about what just happened. Dean and Nick decided to go to the game early to get some good pictures and see some of the players. "As the game started many people were texting and calling us saying that they just saw us on TV," said Nick. Fox Sports showed them on a number of occasions. In the bottom of the 8th inning after "Big Papi" hit the grand slam to tie up the game 5-5 Fenway park was going crazy. Then in the bottom of the 9th inning Dean and Nick had their five

seconds of fame as they were on National TV praying that the sox were going to win. After that TV shot, the next pitch sent the Red Sox on to win the game 6-5. They had just witnessed an incredible comeback after being down 5-1 in the 8th inning. A game they will never forget. They never thought of leaving early and were really glad they stayed till the end. Nick who goes to school at the McCloskey Middle School in Uxbridge went to school the next day to hear from fellow students that said they saw him and his Dad on TV at the game. Five seconds of fame and a lasting memory forever for this local father and son. A night they will never forget.
