by Christine Beauchaine The town of northbridge held its Annual Spring Town Meeting on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019. Unfortunately, those fields were plagued with poor drainage and accessibility issues from the onset. Consequently, northbridge school sports teams have reverted to using lasell Field. lasell Field, as well as the track which surrounds it and the bleachers on its sidelines are all in poor condition due to age and overuse. This impacts multiple athletic teams including football, lacrosse, field hockey, track and even the high school’s marching band. The proposal would replace the grass on the field with synthetic turf as well as replacing the track, bleachers and lighting. in addition to approving the renovation of lasell Field, voters approved the town’s budget. every other article on the warrant passed with the exception of one.
