the Uxbridge Police Department received $40,000 from this round of funding. The Department intends on using the funds to purchase seven Panasonic Toughbook CF33 units and mounts for the Department’s patrol vehicles. These new units would ensure dependability and improve communication throughout the department. Soter commented, “With these funds, the Uxbridge Police Department will be able to make significant equipment upgrades within their fleet of cruisers. The JAG program has supported the Commonwealth’s law enforcement personnel for many years. I’m pleased to announce funding for Uxbridge as it will help to ensure the safety of residents and officers alike.” Representative Soter continues to work hand in hand with town officials and public safety officers in his district to pursue grant opportunities like this one.
