Keep Up-to-Date! Autumn is nearly here, and with it will come raking—or mulching—your leaves!

Help Beautify Your Community! We know you take pride in our community, but have you ever wondered how you can help show that pride? If you answered “Yes!”, then help improve your community by volunteering with the Kirksville Beautification Committee! We’re actively looking for residents willing to give a small amount of their time to make a big impact! This group of dedicated community volunteers was formed within the past year because it takes the City, its community organizations, and its citizens — working together — to make our community the best it can be. Thus far, the Committee has successfully completed a litter and debris cleanup of Baltimore Street / Business U.S. Highway 63 through the middle of our city, but we need your help to expand our efforts and make a bigger difference! For more information on how to get involved, contact Economic and Community Development at 660.627.1224.

Fall Brush & Limb Pick Up!

Autumn is nearly here, which means it is time for the City’s Fall Brush and Limb Pick Up! The Fall Brush and Limb Pick Up is scheduled for October 7 to 11, 2019! This is the perfect time to remove dead branches and smaller dead trees from your yard. The Public Works Department’s Street Maintenance Division will begin picking up tree limbs and large brush on Monday, October 7, 2019. Although the work is expected to take the entire week, to guarantee pickup, your brush must be placed curbside by 7:00 am, Monday, October 7, 2019! This includes limbs that are no longer than 10 feet in length, and / or no wider than 18 inches in diameter. For more information, contact the Public Works Department at 660.627.1291.
